September 14, 2009 Sac City CouncilCall to Order
Mayor Barb Powell called theSeptember 14, 2009 Sac City Council meeting to or-der. Roll call found Councilman Jim Johnston absent.Present were Councilmen Brian Muska, Bill Brenny,Jim Frederick, and Gary Hansen. Also present wereChief of Police John Thomsen, City Clerk SandyTellinghuisen, 1 city employee, and 2 media.The claims to the right were approved withoutdiscussion during the meeting. There were items that bore discussion, but that discussion took place beforethe meeting. Admittedly, in the case of certain city councilmembers, there was probably no need to pre-informthem, because they have not met a dollar in cityspending for which they could vote no. Jim John-ston’s copy of the claims sat in front of his empty seatfor the entire evening… just as they have 11 times previously this year.Before the meeting, Brian Muska announced that hiscompany was reassigning him and that he will bemoving any time between now and 1 year from now.

The Sac County Supervisors met on September 15,2009. The meeting was called to order withSupervisors Jack Bensley, Rick Hecht, and DeanStock present. Also present were sac CountyAuditor Jim Dowling, Lake View CityAdministrator Scott Peterson, Sac County AttorneyEarl Hardisty, 2 members of the paramedics union,Sac County Sanitarian Sherri Wilson, a member of the Sac County Board of Adjustment, and 2 media.The agenda was amended to include a tax suspen-sion.Employee claims and drainage claims wereapproved without comment.
