The problem:
Its confusing at this stage as to who is in charge of South African athletics. Is it the board, led by James Evans, elected in 2012 or the seven-member interim committee appointed at an annual general meeting in November last year?

The IAAF must come out and tell the athletics family who they recognise. Is it Evans or the interim board?

Mend the relations

The longstanding hostilities between Athletics SA (ASA) and the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) are well documented as the animosities between the two bodies date back to the days when Leonard Chuene was still the ASA president People often dont want to sit around the table and talk, as has been the case between the ASA and Sascoc. Given the confusion surrounding the ongoing leadership debacle, it is clear that the constitution be it that of Sascoc, the IAAF or the ASA - has often been manipulated to suit a particular agenda People often dont want to sit around the table and talk, as has been the case between the ASA and Sascoc.
