Rose who are backed up by the propulsive drumming of Sam
Sholdice. With a unique blend of harmonized vocals, violins,
guitar, and bass - the band consistently provides stripped-down
exciting rock with a punch. Not to mention the impressive
multi-tasking on stage from vocalist/bassist Lee Rose who has
become a triple threat with her incorporation of the electric violin
to their performances.
Produced by the band with renowned engineer Joe Dunphy at
Toronto's own Revolution Recording Studios, the EP is a lead-in
to the forth-coming full length, animal instincts, coming out in
May of 2014.
The band released a killer cover of "I'll Believe In Anything," the
2006 Wolf Parade track written by Spencer Krug, in November
2013 and a new track Lives of Plants and Animals from the
full-length is available for streaming now online.

On his new EP by Toronto-based R&B sensation JRDN unveils a set of songs certain to cement his

As a singer, JRDN draws on a deep well of influences for Live My Dream from Wu-Tang Clan,
Jay-Z and Michael Jackson to Sam Cooke, Adele and Drake. Every writer and production team,
from Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Knaan), to J-Doe (Jamie Foxx, Tyrese) has influenced him, but none
more than the Kuya Brothers (Nelly, Ginuwine, Akon). We just caught a vibe, went with it and
made a lot of tracks up on the spot in the studio. They come from an R&B background and have a
lot of the same influences I have, so their production matches the style of music I do. Theyve
really given me a platform, musically, to stand on and grow.

Overstep is Mike Gordon's fourth solo album, following 2003's Inside In, 2008's The Green Sparrow and 2010's Moss. A
founding member of Phish, who just wrapped 2013 with a sold-out, four-night stand at New York C ity's Madison
Square Garden, Gordon will c elebrate the release of Overstep with a North Americ an headline tour that will kic k
off at the Westc ott Theatre in Syrac use, NY on February 28. The run will inc lude a date at the Rio Theatre in
Vanc ouver, BC (Marc h 22).
Most artists have a fixed ritual or routine that they rely on to inspire their efforts from c onc ept to fruition. Gordon
tends to establish general goals, and then esc hew routines for c reative experiments. One of his goals for Overstep
was to trust himself to relinquish c ontrol, whic h he ac c omplished by sharing songwriting duties with guitarist and
longtime c ollaborator Sc ott Murawski (who also tac kles lead voc als on three of the album s eleven trac ks), and by
handing over the produc ing reins for the first time in his solo c areer to Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, Unc le Tupelo,
Pixies). Gordon invited a few new players into his sandbox, inc luding legendary drummer Matt C hamberlain (J on
Brion, Fiona Apple), who fleshed out previously-rec orded drum mac hine parts on ac tual drums.
The result is a diverse but tightly knit family of sturdy roc k numbers that manages to sound grounded but
sophistic ated at the same time, and raw but c arefully c onsidered. Overstep s opening trac k Ether, whic h begins
as distant industrial noise that s gradually replac ed by lush guitars and welc oming voc al harmonies, serves as an
invitation to the listener to set aside c urrent preoc c upations and c ome along for a 49-minute reality c hec k.
Gordon draws inspiration from an astonishing variety of sourc es, from the natural world to the emotional world to
his often persistent visions. Like Gordon himself, the album is full of c ontradic tions, juxtapositions, and surprises -
whic h is exac tly what his fans expec t.
