IMAGON PHOTO-ETCHING
 CHRISTINE FELCEThis course oers an unusual take ontraditional printing methods by creatingphoto-etching plates using your own selectedphotographic images. You will create 2 platesand then be shown various ways to print theimage and push it urther than traditionalphotography would allow. This includes avariety o complementary inking methodsand other techniques to create a unique andcontemporary print. Suitable or beginners,though there is room or more experimentation or those with previousexperience. (This course would make a good double with the 4 day Photo-polymer course in May. Book both courses or a reduction).

PRINTMAKING ONTO CERAMIC
 SUZANNE LAWRENCEWhilst studying or her Ceramics Degreeat Bath Spa University, Suzanne usedprintmaking techniques in her work.This course will use printmaking methodsincluding embossing, tissue paper transerwhere clay is the substrate and slips as inks,you will design a at or hanging sculpture.The inspiration or this work will be naturalobjects with particular reerence to museumcollections. Suitable or beginners andexperienced printmakers.

WOOD ENGRAVING FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
NEIL BOUSFIELDA member o the Society o WoodEngravers, Neil is well qualifed tointroduce you to this method o relieprinted engraving. Using plastic blocks (anaordable substitute or wood) Neil willintroduce you to his own personal workingmethods. The aim o the course is to equipthe student with the undamental elementso engraving and to introduce new workingmethods to those with experience. (Thiscourse would make a good double with thelino cut course and/or engraving course. Book both or all 3 or a reduction.)

BOOKBINDING IN LEATHER
SUE CROSSLEYSue trained as a bookbinderand paper conservator. Thisweekend course oers a practicaldemonstration-led workshop whereyou will produce a handmadebook in the limp vellum style – anhistoric binding technique which hassimplicity, strength and lexibility. Youwill select rom beautiul, natural-grained goatskin as the coveringleather. The course will includeexamining dierent paper samples, aswell as dierent leathers. This book can be a blank book (idealChristmas present) or a book you can use or printing or to bindprints already made. Suitable or beginners and experiencedprintmakers.

DESIGN YOUR OWN Wrapping Paper -
or the whole amily.A weekend event or the whole amily. Over both o theseweekends you can choose rom 1 o 4 sessions.Sessions run rom 9.30am to 12.30 and 1.30 to 4.30pm.You can choose between working in Screenprint or in the Etchingstudio. In Screenprint you will develop a template or series o masksto roll or screenprint your design. Make a small edition o cards onweekend 1, or print your own wrapping paper on weekend 2. In theetching studio you can use a combination o relie print techniquesand dry point engraving to design and print an edition o originalcards or wrapping paper.These courses are suitable or children and adults. Why not bring theamily? Book 2 sessions (or one person) and get a discount o 10%.One adult can come with one child or the same price working onthe same material.
