1. Present Community Partner Program to your congregation or groupinvite a Texas Impact VISTA to speak. 2. Sign up for Water Captains and stay tuned for updates on the statewide leadership conference in late June. 3. Sign up for Project 362 and watch your email for more information from Josh. 4. Enlist buddies and start checking off items in the Know Your Community Treasure Hunt. 5. Fill in the blanks for your school district and tell your friends what you learn. 6. Sign the Texas Left Me Out petition to expand Medicaid and ask your friends and neighbors to sign. Order hard copies from Texas Impact if online petitions arent your style. 7. Talk to your local elected officials about how much Texas Medicaid rejection is costing your community. 8. Invite a presenter to tell your congregation or group about the healthcare marketplace. Ask Texas Impact for presenters in your area. Remember: even though enrollment ends March 31, the next enrollment period starts in just a few months! 9. Present the 2014 UMW Legislative Agenda to women (and men) in your congregation or group. 10. Make plans now to attend UMW Legislative Event 2015 when Texas will have a new Governor for the first time in 15 years! No matter who wins, it will be the start of a new era in Texas politics.
