Dear Parents and Guardians, As we continue to value the importance of communication between school and home, we have sent this letter regarding an incident that occurred in our community this week. On Wednesday, two students were involved in a confrontation at school. One of the students received minor injuries. The school contacted the Saskatoon Police Service about the incident. With the assistance of the School Resource Officer, staff members followed our safety protocols to address the situation. On Thursday evening, Saskatoon Police received a report that one of the students involved in the altercation had posted concerning remarks on Facebook. Police officers took the student into custody. Saskatoon Police are continuing to investigate the incident. The school is following the threat assessment procedures laid out in the Community Threat Assessment and Support Protocol. More information about the protocol can be found on our website. We want to reassure you that students and staff members are safe at the school.
