Description
The effects of electromagnetic fields in human health have been studied for over a century now. Both microwaves and radiofrequencies are known to produce deleterious effects on human health. Medical literature on this respect is extremely abundant. However, the effects of the EMF used in different scanning techniques in radiology have remained more obscure to the medical community and to the general public. This article is a document of the utmost importance. The induction of damage to the human genome by Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans as evidenced by the presence of micronuclei is an international catastrophe. The fact that an advanced diagnostic method like nuclear magnetic resonance causes genetic damages to the patients should have rung many bells inside the World Health Organization. The preliminary data showing that this damage could be reversible is in no sense an open license to kill. However, in Medicine, the clinician is faced many times with the dilemma of weighing the advantages vs. the risk of the procedure. Millions around the world are being scanned each year with this technology. The possibility that there could be an important rupture in the DNA helical chains in different tissues is a worrisome issue that should not be overlooked by the medical profession. The fact that micronuclei have also been evidenced with cell phone radiation via the comet assay of Dr. Henry Lai, is a confirmation of a common physiopathological ultrastructural mechanism involved in nuclear magnetic resonance, radiofrequency and microwaves.
In this sense, MRI could be a damaging insult to the human physiology just like cell phones and cell phone towers.
