The Communications/Media Relations Internship provides an opportunity for a student to learn and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Colorado Rapids Communications department, as well as work with the soccer operations staff. This internship position will specifically focus on the topic of media relations, social media, team website, and game-day operations.
Assists in the daily production and distribution of the press clippings and gathering all Colorado Rapids stories from local, national and international news services.
Assists in the distribution of the Colorado Rapids media/photo credentials for all home games.
Assists in the set-up and maintenance of the
Dick’s Sporting Goods Park press box for all
home games, as well as post-game interviews.
Assists in day-to-day content of the
official website. Duties include writing, gathering audio and shooting video.
Assists in writing and editing for the
Rapids’ official game program
Helps with coordination of media events.
Other duties as assigned.
College student receiving academic credit for the internship experience.
Ability to provide workers’ compensation and general lia
bility insurance from the university sponsoring internship experience.
