ENGLISH SUMMER TOWN 2014 GUIDELINE General Information: English Summer Town (EST) is a professional development initiative for

English teachers in the public system, aimed towards sharing updates in innovative methodologies in the classroom. During this version of English Summer Town, for the first time, we are working together with The British Council and the United States Embassy. The EST provides a significant support for the teachers, because what they learn during this professional development will later be put into practice in public school classrooms throughout all of Chile. In 2014, 12 English Summer Towns will be held in different regions of the country. We would like to remind you that every teacher is responsible for their own transportation in order to attend this activity. Its important to purchase the tickets in advance, to ensure you can attend without difficulties in your travel. Take into consideration that English Summer Towns will happen during the summer season, when there is a higher demand for bus tickets within national territory. The awarded scholarship to attend doesnt include accommodation nor transportation, it includes meals during both days in which the activity occurs. We would ask you if possible to take your portable notebooks, tablets for the second day of the training. 100% attendance and punctuality is mandatory both days. Air transportation: According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, flights are only available for these regions: Aysn Magallanes As the English Opens Doors Program, we will purchase the plane tickets, without possibility to change the one way or roundtrip itinerary. It is your personal responsibility to check in at the airport in order to reserve your seat. When you are buying your ticket, please consider your arrival time. Remember you must be on time for the start of the activity, depending on where it takes place. Activity schedule Day 01 from 09:00 to 18:00 Day 02 from 09:00 to 19:30
