“The Best of the Web in a Click Free Search”
The LeapFish Mission
Unique, Fresh. New, a Lifeline to a breadth of relevant information with instantaneous real-time results – That is whatLeapFish is for the User. LeapFish has a mission to address the increased flow of new, abundant and relevantinformation through empowering Internet users with a unique, bold and radically simple way of accessing the web in asingle search.

LeapFish consolidates fragmented information from multiple sources and major web portals like Google,Ebay, YouTube and numerous social media outlets (blogs and social networks) and breaks it into simple and wider reaching results for the user all being provided with click-free search functionality (no more clicking the “search” buttonand being led to another page to get results). The best of technology today isn’t one that is necessarily feature-heavy, typically it is the one that simplifies (think Twitter or think Google years ago - the technology that's simplest to use is also, often, the most difficult to create). LeapFish isthat type of technology. It’s not meant to be better, more complex or feature heavy as related to Google, Yahoo, Live or even Dogpile. LeapFish was designed to leverage and pull from the best of each engine and couple those results with therest of the relevant unique content that users are seeking but were not getting, until now with LeapFish.Clay Shirky, a professor at NYU’s graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program and a consultant and writer on thesocial and economic effects of Internet technologies, states “It’s not information overload. It’s filter failure”. We couldn’tagree more, Behnam Behrouzi, CEO at Leapfish and creator of several successful internet startups summarizes it as “Theexplosion of user-generated content is bringing back that sense of fragmentation that existed in the early 90s when theInternet was beginning to take off,” Behrouzi said. “There’s just so much out there now, and the volume of data requiresbetter consolidation techniques that allow users to not just find information, but to find that which is truly valuable to themon the web.”
Why LeapFish is Unique
Our unique click-free search functionality returns results as you type each letter. This resolves the need to click a searchbutton or even pluralize a word and then re-click the search button again (an example of the OLD way: type the searchterm “ipod” in the box and click search, but then you desire results on “ipods” you must add the “s” and then click thesearch button AGAIN). This is an all-in-one time saver that eliminates clicks and keystrokes coupled with a nimble searchapplication that allows you to modify search characters and get instantaneous results on-the-fly. “Wow and cool”, that’swhat we said when we first created it!The interface is familiar but unique as well. We aren’t trying to get fancy and give you beautiful web page shots andinformation that is movable and spins like some engines. We want to make the familiar even better. You will find a simpleusable interface you are accustomed to but with added features on the right hand side that gives you immediate access toinformation related to your search. You can then click and dig deeper on each image, video, article or other piece of information that interests you or just hover over a video and view it right on LeapFish with no clicking. Hover over animage thumbnail and get the actual image immediately with no waiting or clicking. The results are set up for your convenience and your perceived relevancy not the search engines. That’s what we call refreshing.

User Benefits When Using LeapFish
What is the best way to access information? Where should you go to obtain it? The answer to this question has never been as complicated as now. It has been asked for centuries and information has long been sought out by any meansnecessary, from generation to generation throughout time. The rise of the internet helped solve this issue in more waythan one, allowing instant access to a world of information with the convenience of not having to leave your home toobtain it. It is available to everyone and has no limitations. As people demand more (more features, more functionality, more power) we also had an increasing demand that it be easier to navigate and use. So the birth of search enginescame just in time, making it easier to search and navigate the web.Recent changes that have occurred online are directly related to our social norms changing. With that change came morevoices, more access and more information. Search engines, Social Networks, Blogs, and Social Bookmarking sites nowharness those voices. Now the question is how can we do a better job of filtering this information? Voices are coming fromso many channels at the same time that presenting it to the user in a clear and all encompassing fashion is a major challenge.Leapfish is saying that designing new filters doesn’t mean simply updating old filters; these filters are broken for structuralreasons. Search Engines, Blogs, Media Sharing, Social Networks and Social Bookmarking sites have added to thewealth of the Internet and LeapFish will help adapt to these changes by:
Instantaneous real-time results that eliminate clicks and keystrokes
Aggregation, organization and display of the most relevant content for any search query
Data feeds that pull from more than just the top 3 – i.e. Youtube, Ebay etc.
Same familiar layout but with added features
Content can be searched individually for the top 3 versus forced aggregation
We can pull more dynamic data from a multi-dimensional aspect
Convenience and ease of access to more information on one screen
