a commonality of neurological
differences and sensory deficits in
students with learning disabilities

More recently studies have used
imaging technology and found
differences in brain structure among
students with similar problems.
No real reason that causes a learning
disability but from evidence genetics may
be a factor.
Other factors may be:
•Environmental factors
•Inadequate prenatal health care
•Exposure to harmful substances
