As you read through the pages of this newsletter, one thing might stand out—change is in the air. You may notice from looking at the calendar, the Auxiliary is revamping their Friday night dinners, Sunday breakfasts and starting on the 10th, will be serving $2 hard shell tacos every Monday from 5

Remember, these meals support the Auxiliary and their charitable undertakings. Please support these efforts and come enjoy a meal, or three. Without increased support from our membership, these meals may not continue. The King of Hearts drawing is also changing and the new weekly payouts are HUGE! Tickets are a

Worthy President’s Message
Greeting Aerie Brothers and Sisters,
Welcome to February, The month of LOVE!!!! Here we are. The beginning of 2014, and a new year. With new challenges, new expectations, new relationships and new memories to be made!
The PWP Crab Feed was a hit, and a bargain too. Though I can't eat crab, everyone else was, and it appeared delicious and the beer was tasty too. If you weren't able to attend this year, you should certainly try to attend next year. It is very much worth your while. And if you like crab, I challenge you to find a better deal.
The King of Hearts jackpot was won. Congratulations to Mary Jung! The Trustees and the Aerie are working on other games to tickle your fancy, so stay tuned!
On February
the 13th, we will be hosting the State Worthy President and the State Madam President. We  will be serving steak and shrimp, please come and welcome our State colleagues and make them feel at home.
The days are getting longer, if only by the minute, but we can look forward to fun times, and exciting evenings at our beloved club. We have karaoke, we have Obie's Steak Night, we have breakfasts and dinners and a very accommodating social room. Take a look at the attached calendar and commit yourself to at least two func-tions. Please find some time in your schedule to stop in, say hello to an old (or new) friend. Maybe you'll find  yourself here on a Tuesday night? Maybe it'll be the 1st or 3rd Tuesday. If it is, come on upstairs! Meetings start at 7:30! Our officers and I look forward to seeing you.  Yours in Brotherhood,
Zane Fitterer
 Worthy President
Once again the Brothers and Sisters of West Seattle Eagles #2643 came through! Thanks to all of you, we  were able to fulfill every gift requests on the Park West Giving Tree. It
s times like these that make me PROUD TO BE AN EAGLE! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Due to privacy issues Megan Mumford wasn
t able to get everyone
s picture, but be assured that your gift made someone
s day a little brighter.
I would like to give a special shout out to my sisters Marty Kilgore, Debbie Stern, and Linda Pierce who came in and wrapped gifts. Amy McGrath, the super shopper, who acquired a huge bag of socks and other extras.  And Diane Bals who wrapped up the last of the gifts and helped me deliver them.

Brothers and Sisters, February already –
WOW! I noticed that the tulips are pushing their way through the ground outside at work, and this morning the birds were chirping away as though it were spring. Nice thought for someone like me  who dislikes inclement weather. On February 13
the State Presidents will be visiting West Seattle. We will be having a Surf &Turf dinner for $10. Social hour starts at 5pm with dinner at 6pm. Everyone is welcome and I would love to see all of you join us for dinner and their visit. It
s always interesting to hear about what is going on the State level. Beginning February 9, we are switching Sunday breakfasts up. Instead of the menu, we will be serving some-thing different each week. Please check your calendar for what will be served. Remember everyone is wel-come for meals, Eagle member or not. We really need your support to keep these going each week.  We are also switching Friday night meals –
if you have a suggestion of what you
d like to see being served, please email me at iamcoolestlala@comcast.net. Remember there is karaoke afterwards on Friday nights. Come join in the fun! Even if you aren
t the best singer (like me) it
s still a really fun time.
Your newsletter is the best tool you have for bringing in new members. The calendar shows what is going on in the club, dinners, events etc. Please share with your friends and be sure to join us for any event you can. The Auxiliary will once again be selling hanging flower baskets. They were a big hit last year and I personally cannot wait to get mine. We will also be selling potted tulips. All the details are on page 7 of the newsletter. Congrats to Mary Jung who won the first King of Hearts drawing! Wish it had been me, but very happy Mary  won. The Aerie is
the pot and there will be bigger and better payouts –
so be sure to come up to the club and buy your tickets. You must be present to win. The Auxiliary meets the 1
 and 3
Thursdays at 7pm. Our meetings last just over an hour, so please consider  joining us. I think you
d really enjoy it.
And have you heard, the SEAHAWKS are in the SUPER BOWL! GO HAWKS!
 Yours in Sisterhood,
Linda Fittro
