Residents plan for town's future

land
 
owners,
 
developers,
 
government
 
officials,
 
regional
 
workers
 
and
 
shoppers
 
all
 
met
 
on
 
Thursday
 
evening
 
to
 
plot
 
the
 
future
 
of 
 
Dickson's
 
town
 
centre.
 
About
 
60
 
people
 
attended
 
the
 
meeting
 
at
 
Dickson
 
Tradies
 
where
 
they
 
were
 
split
 
into
 
groups
 
to
 
attack
 
maps
 
of 
 
Dickson
 
with
 
highlighters,
 
post
its
 
and
 
pens
 
 –
 
each
 
mark
 
representing
 
a
 
change
 
they
 
would
 
like
 
to
 
see
 
happen.
 
The
 
meeting
 
worked
 
as
 
a
 
continuation
 
of 
 
the
 
consultation
 
process,
 
in
 
which
 
residents
 
have
 
voiced
 
several
 
key
 
concerns
 
regarding
 
the
 
development
 
of 
 
their
 
town.
 
Despite
 
the
 
room
 
being
 
split
 
into
 
10
 
groups,
 
several
 
key
 
themes
 
came
 
through
 
when
 
ideas
 
were
 
pooled
 
at
 
the
 
end
 
of 
 
the
 
meeting.
 
Some
 
of 
 
these

green
 
space
 
in
 
the
 
town
 
centre
 
with
 
suggestions
 
several
 
landmark
 
buildings
 
and
 
businesses

Improved
 
traffic
 
conditions
 
around

Dickson
 
Place
