Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla has made comments that have the Republicanpanties in a bunch!Tuesday night on the House floor, he called the Republican health careproposal a "blank piece of paper." Reinforced with printed signsunderscoring his opinion, he stated, "If you get sick, America, theRepublican health care plan is this: Die quickly. That's right. TheRepublicans want you to die quickly if you get sick. "Likening his statements to Rep. O.K. maybe it is just me but for starters, I see this as mixing apples andoranges. Although his comments had a facetious ring to them, Grayson’scomments did have some teeth. The reality is that there are many people in thiscountry who will do exactly that, die for lack of affordable health care. I canpersonally vouch for this one! I don’t know what the numbers are, but many of them died today. The Republican plan is not proposing a meaningful solution.On the other hand, we have Wilson’s comments, which everyone across theboard, Republicans and Democrats alike agreed were just vitreous. One set of comments attacks policy; the other set attacks a man, not just any man, but thePresident of the United States. Correct me if I am wrong. Although manypeople professed her to be an idiot when Sarah Palin ranted about thePresident’s proposals killing granny, I don’t remember anyone requesting sheapologize.
