HONOR
The ACTION verb of this commandment. This usage carriers the though of respect that an inferior gives to
a superior.
But does this mean that some are worth more than others? (different gifts, different functions)
Reverence
What does this word mean? ________________
To Parents-Lev 19:3, Rom 13:7, 1 Pet 2:18
To God-John 8:49, 1 Tim 1:17, Heb 2:9
What is the difference? How do you distinguish them?
Our reverence for parents is not in spite of our reverence to God, but because of it.
