Sale Information
Welcome to all our friends and customers!

Celebrating our 45th year in breeding Red Angus, Halfmann Red
Angus is proud to offer a great set of bulls and females in our “2009
Red Investment Production Sale!” We fi rmly believe that the money
you spend on our Red genetics is a great Investment in your herd’s
future.

HRA is offering 50 performance-tested, registered, 100% 1A Red
Angus bulls. This set of bulls is uniform, heavy muscled and loaded
with excellent genetic merit. They have been developed for longev-
ity on a high-roughage forage ration to allow them to naturally
express their genetic potential for roughage conversion and carcass
quality. The 20-month old bulls were run on sorghum-sudan grazer
throughout the summer without any supplemental feeding. We are
developing bulls demanded by the current market that are mod-
erate-sized and easy calving with growth. In addition, we are using the most current technologies including ultrasound and DNA mark-
ers, such as marbling and tenderness, to enhance their genetic value. Producers are receiving premiums for higher quality calves through
retained ownership feeding programs.

HRA is also offering a select group of 28 registered, 100% 1A Red Angus bred females that are functional and efficient. New for 2009 will
be 4 Embryo Lots selected from our top donors! Now is your chance to tap into the top genetics from HRA.
In addition to HRA’s registered lots, 27 commercial Red Angus females, AI bred to our top bulls, will be offered. Guest consignors are of-
fering 15 top-end SimAngus and Simmental females which are also AI bred to HRA Red Angus sires.
Halfmann Red Angus supports the commercial cattleman by providing cost-reducing genetics, adding value to calves, and furnishing a wide
range of marketing options. Please join us the evening prior to the sale for our commercial marketing seminar titled “Adding Value Starts at
the Ranch” either at the ranch or online at DVAuction.com .
We’re open to assist our customers with selections or special needs and we guar-
antee confidentiality on any sight-unseen purchases.
We look forward to seeing you October 2nd & 3rd!
