BE NOT CONFORMED
rwyp al
Rom 12:2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may
prove whatis that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1Pe 1:14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your
ignorance:
Exo 23:2You shall notrun after many togai n evil things. And you shall not testify
as to a lawsuit, to turn aside after many in order to pervertj usti ce.
Eph 4:17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other
Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the
ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Eph 4:19Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all
uncleanness with greediness.

Eph 4:20But ye have not so learned Christ;
Eph 4:21If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Eph 4:22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt

according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph 4:23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph 4:24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true
holiness.
Compromise
COMPROMISE, n. [L. To give bond to stand to an award, to promise. See Promise.]
1. A mutual promise or contract of two parties in controversy, to refer their differences to
the decision of arbitrators.
2. An amicable agreement between parties in controversy, to settle their differences by

mutual concessions.
3. Mutual agreement; adjustment.
[This is its usual signification.]

COMPROMISE, v.t.
1. To adjust and settle a difference by mutual agreement, with concessions of claims by

the parties; to compound.
2. To agree; to accord.
3. To commit; to put to hazard; to pledge by some act or declaration.
[In this sense, see Compromit, which is generally used.]

1426, "a joint promise to abide by an arbiter's decision," from M.Fr. compromis, from L.
compromissus, pp. of compromittere "to make a mutual promise" (to abide by an arbiter's
decision), from com- "together" + promittere (see promise). The main modern sense is
from extension to the settlement itself (1479).

mixed, indiscriminate, promiscuous; commonplace, usual;
Yisrael was commanded not to come together to promise, or make covenants with the

heathens around them. This would be the Torah commandment against compromise.
Exo 34:12Take heed to yourself, that you not cut a covenant with the people of the
land to which you are going in, that it not be a snare in your midst.
Exo 34:13But you shall cut down their altars, break their pillars, and you shall cut off
their Asherahs.
Exo 34:14For you shall not bow to another god, for Jehovah whose nameis Jealous,
Heis a jealous God;
Exo 34:15that you not cut a covenant with the people of the land, and they
fornicate with their gods, and they call to you, and you eat from his sacrifice;
Exo 34:16and you take from their daughters for your sons, and their daughters
fornicate with their gods, and they lead your sons to fornicate with their gods.
Compromise is eating at two different tables
1Co 10:20But the things the nations sacrifice, "they sacrifice to demons, and not to
God." Deut. 32:17 But I do not want you to become sharers of demons;
1Co 10:21you cannot drinkthe cup of the Lord and a cup of demons; you cannot
partake of the table ofthe Lord, and a table of demons.
2Co 6:14Do not be unequally yokedwi th unbelievers. For what partnership does
righteousnesshave with lawlessness? And what fellowship does lighthave with
darkness?
Those who compromise with the world can't be holy unto YHWH
2Co 6:15And whatag reement does Christhave with Belial? Or what part does a
believerhave with an unbeliever?
2Co 6:16And whatag reement does a temple of Godhave with idols? For you are a
temple ofthe living God, even as God said, "I will" dwell in them and "walk among
them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Lev. 26:12; Ezek.
37:27
2Co 6:17Because of this, "come out from among them" "and be separated," says
the Lord, "and do not touch the unclean thing," and I will receive you. Isa. 52:11
2Co 6:18"And I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons" and daughters to Me,
saysthe Lord Almighty. 2 Sam. 7:8, 14; Isa. 43:6
Jas 4:4Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that the friendship of the
world is enmitywit h God? Whoever, then, purposes to be a friend of the world
is put downas hostileto God.
Jas 4:5Or do you think that vainly the Scripture says, The spirit which has dwelt in us
yearns to envy? No OT passage
Jas 4:6But He gives greater grace. Because of this it says, "God setsHimse lf against
proudone s, but He gives grace to humbleone s." Prov. 3:34
Jas 4:7Then be subject to God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.
Jas 4:8Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanseyour hands, sinners!
And purifyyo ur hearts, double minded ones!
