Son
In Hebrew, a son is one who continues the family. It is also the word for
pattern, because the son continues in the pattern/likeness of his father.
Heb 1:2Hath in these last days spoken unto us byhi s Son, whom he hath appointed
heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Heb 1:3Who being the brightness ofhi s glory, and the express image of his person,
and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged
our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

This is why the Torah, and specifically the Tabernacle were to be made after
the pattern given to Moses on the mount. They were to be the likeness of
YHWH pointing to the reality.

Joh 5:46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of
me.
Joh 5:47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Heb 8:5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was
admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he,
that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Heb 9:24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are
the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of
God for us:
Heb 10:1For the law having a shadow of good things to come,and not the very
image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by
year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Col 2:16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an
holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbathdays:
Col 2:17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the bodyis of Christ.
The word for build comes from the root "son"
Heb 3:1Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the
Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Heb 3:2Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all
his house.
Heb 3:3For thisman was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he
who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
Heb 3:4For every house is builded by someman; but he that built all thingsis God.
Heb 3:5And Moses verilywas faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony
of those things which were to be spoken after;
Heb 3:6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast
the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
The word for understanding also comes from the root "son." This is because
the Torah is the pattern/likeness of the Son, it is His "mind"
Pro 8:14Counsel and sound wisdomare mine (Wisdom); Iam understanding; I have
strength.
Pro 9:10The fear of Jehovahis the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the
Holy Oneisund ers t and ing.
Isa 11:2And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of
wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.
There is a connection between the word build and son. We are to "build"
upon the son
1Co 3:11For no one is able to layany other foundation beside theO ne having been
laid, who is Jesus Christ.
1Co 3:12And if anyone builds on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood,
grass, straw,
1Co 3:13the work of each will be revealed; for the Day will makeit known, because
it is revealed in fire; and the fire will prove the work of each, what sort it is.
1Co 3:14If the work of anyone which he built remains, he will receive a reward.
1Co 3:15If the work of anyone shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss; but he will be
saved, but so as through fire.
1Co 3:16Do you not know that you are a sanctuary of God, and the Spirit of God
dwells in you?
2Ch 3:1And Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem, in Mount
Moriah, where He appeared to his father David, in the place that David had
prepared, in the grain floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2Ch 3:5And the greater house he covered with cypress wood, and he covered it with
good gold, and caused to go on it palms and chains.
2Ch 3:6And he overlaid the house with precious stones for beauty, and the gold
was gold from Parvaim.
2Ch 3:7And he covered the house, the beams, the threshold, and the walls, and its
doors with gold; and engraved cherubs on the walls.
He is the chief corner stone. Not surprisingly, the word for stone (eben) is
from the same root as son
Psa 118:22The Stonewhich the builders rejected has become the Head of the
Corner.

Then is a picture of a sprouting seed and represents continuity as the seed continues the next generation. The combined meaning of these letters mean \u201cthe continuing of the house\u201d. The tent was constructed of woven goat hair. Over time the sun bleaches and weakens the goat hair necessitating their continual replacement. Each year the women make a new panel, approximately 3 feet wide and the length of the tent. The old panel is removed (being recycled into a wall or floor) and the new strip is added to the tent. Since

the tent is only replaced one small piece at a time the tent essentially lasts forever. (eng: beam - a
component of construction with an exchange for the m and n; between - with the t added)

of goat hair panels and the building of a house out of sons (The idea of building a house with sons can be seen in Genesis 30.3). Just as the tent panels are added to continue the tent, sons are born to the family to continue the family line. Just as the tent is continually being renewed with new panels, the

family is continually being renewed with new sons.
