Prepare the way
The Holy Spirit made Luke associate the Glory of YHWH with the Salvation of Elohim.
Luk 3:3And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of
repentance for remission of sins,
Luk 3:4as it has been written inthe scroll of the Words of Isaiah the prophet, saying:
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way ofthe Lord,
make His paths straight.
Luk 3:5Every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be
made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the
rough into smooth ways;"
Luk 3:6"and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isaiah 40:3-5
Isa 40:5And the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall seeit
together, for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.
The cloud=the Angel of YHWH?

Targum on Numbers 9:22-23
By the mouth of the Word of the Lord the children of Israel went forward, and by the
Word of the Lord they rested. All the days that the Cloud of Glory abode upon the
Tabernacle, (so long) did they abide.
And if the Cloud tarried over the Tabernacle many days the children of Israel observed
the watch of the Word of the Lord, and did not proceed. If for the time of a number of
days, suppose the seven days of the week, the Cloud of Glory was upon the Tabernacle,
by the mouth of the Word of the Lord they rested, and by the mouth of the Word of the
Lord they went forward. Or, if the Cloud of Glory (rested only) from evening until
morning, and was uplifted in the morning, then went they onward; whether by day or by
night, when the Cloud was lifted up they went forward; whether it was two days, or a
month, or a year complete, while the Cloud of Glory made stay over the Tabernacle,
abiding on it, the children of Israel abode, and journeyed not, and at the time of its
uplifting they went forward. By the mouth of the Word of the Lord they encamped, and

by it they journeyed; they kept the observance of the Word of the Lord, by the mouth of
the Word of the Lord through Mosheh.
Exo 14:19And the Angel of God withdrew, the One going before the camp of Israel.
And He went behind them. And the pillar of cloud withdrew from before them, and
it stood behind them.
Exo 14:20And it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. And it
was cloudy and dark. And it lit up the night; and this one did not come near to
that one all night.
Exo 14:24And it happened in the morning watch: Jehovah looked on the camp of
the Egyptians in the pillar of fire and cloud. And He confused the camp of the
Egyptians.
Exo 13:21And Jehovah was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to
lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give light to them, to go
by day and by night.
Zec 2:5And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, and I will be for glory in her
midst, declares Jehovah.
Psa 34:7The Angel of Jehovah camps around those who fear Him, and He sets them
free.
DEUTERONOMY 1:31
Deu 1:30Jehovah your God who goes before you shall fight for you, according to all
that He did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
Deu 1:31and in the wilderness, where you have seen how Jehovah your God has
borne you as a man bears his son, in all the way which you have gone until you
have come to this place.

as a man carries his son: As I explained regarding [the verses]:\u201cAnd the angel of God who went before the camp of the Israelites traveled and went behind, etc.\u201d (Exod. 14:19-20). This may be compared to one who is traveling on a road, with his son in front of him. If bandits come to kidnap [the son, he removes him from in front of him and places him behind him].

Rashi interprets this as the Malak of YHWH, the Targum interprets this as the cloud of Glory

And I said to you, Be not broken down, nor be afraid of them: the Word of the Lord your God who goeth before you will Himself fight for you, according to all that He did for you in Mizraim before your eyes. And in the desert, where thou sawest burning serpents full of deadly venom, the Lord thy God bare thee with the glorious clouds of His Shekinah, as a man carrieth his child, all the way that you went, until you have come to this place.

Exo 16:7And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your
murmurings against the LORD: and whatare we, that ye murmur against us?
Exo 16:10And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of
Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the
cloud.
Exo 24:16And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days:
and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
Exo 24:17And the sight of the glory of the LORDwas like devouring fire on the top of the mount
in the eyes of the children of Israel.
Exo 40:34Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the
