UHL+Walker was founded in Toronto in 1965, quickly evolving to theinterdisciplinary model of today under the leadership of Jesse Walker, SamUebelacker, Darin Harding, and Ben Larson. The partners committed them-selves to a global practice in the 1980s with the opening of expansionoffices in New York, London, and Hong Kong. The Partnership grew as newpartners joined the firm, broadening the fields of expertise and areas ofpractice. Today, UHL+Walker offers a wide range of services which, with theclose integration thereof, allows us to reach new and higher levels of design.In lieu of subscribing to fashion and polemic, UHL+Walker aims to deliver thoughtful, original and contemporary architecture that conveys a sense ofhumanism and purpose while fulfilling programmatic requirements. This isachieved through an intensive collaboration with clients and consultants andcareful investigation into the best ways to accommodate the program.UHL+Walker exercises economy of gesture and meticulous attention whichresults in the highest standards of execution, delight in pure beauty, andrespect for the client's need to be inspired and engaged.
