Phil.4:10-20

Tetsaveh is taken from Strongs#6680, the word tsvh, tsaw-vaw, meaning; to command, to charge, a commandment, to appoint, bade, to order. This word signifies to set up or appoint, Tsavah, as a verb means to command. Command is used for Paleo-Hebrew: Tsade & a Waw the instruction of a father to a son (1 Sam. 17:20), a farmer to his laborers (Ruth 2:9), [and] a king to his servants. (Theo Wrdbk. O.T., p.757). The root word taken from Tsavah is the 2-letter root word Tsav meaning Command. Pictographically however it explains the purpose of YHWHs Commands. Tsade means to hunt, to chase, trouble, to lay on ones side, or to desire. The Waw, or Vav means to pierce, to join, to add, hook and secure. So, what we realize in obeying YHWHs commands is His desire is to bring security to His people. These commands were given not to be a burden, but rather to bring blessing and security!

commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. (Deu 11:26-28 KJV) It was YHWH who told King Solomon at the dedication of the Mishkan,
2

That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon. 3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before 1|Page

me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there forever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: 5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
4

But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I

have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: (1Ki 9:2-7 KJV)
7

The word used there in 1 Kings for establish, among many other meanings, in the Hebrew is the word quwmcomprised of a Quf, a Vav, and a Mem. The 2-letter root word quf-mem means to To raise or rise up. Also in the sense of continuing or establishing something. (Benner, Ancient Hebrew Lexicon). The Vav, which is symbolic of the nail, or tent peg was used to secure the tent so when the winds outside beat against it would stand-fast, keeping the family inside safe & secure. Taken together you get the word meaning To raise up in security& is this not what YHWH was doing then, and still doing today with Israel?

Aharon and his sons are to put it in the tent of meeting, outside the curtain in front of the testimony, and keep it burning from evening until morning before ADONAI. This is to be a permanent regulation through all the generations of the people of Isra'el. (Exo 27:20-21 CJB) The sons & daughters of Israel were commanded to partake in the responsibility of providing Aharon fresh oil every morning for the Menorah. This commandment was provided to instruct Israel that everyone who was part of YHWHs people had a part to play in bringing forth The Light of The World; We read, 12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (Joh 1:1-5 NAS) Our Redeemer reminds us that we too are to walk as He does, ou are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 "Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. parashah iswhat kind of oil does YHWH require us to bring daily?

Pure Oilwhat is pure oil? Pure in Hebrew here comes from the word zak, rooted in Strongs#2141, or zaw-kahk, meaning Clear, Clean, Transparent, Pure, Refined: To remove the impurities by washing or refining to make pure. Is purity important when it comes to the oil used in the lamps of the Menorah in the Mishkan? You bet. Many teach that after the first temple, when Herod built the second Mishkan it was truly a work of beauty, but the Shekinah Glory no longer rested there. The Ark was no longer there. And as such, many motions were made, but made without the heart. When a heart is hardened by inviting in ego, pride, things of this worldthe oil produced is impure, unrefined and unfit for servicing the Temple Menorah. In the second temple era what we witness historically is a people increasingly claiming that the peace and security they enjoyed were a direct result of their own actionsnot the Holy GOD who brought them out of bondage and established His eternal & protective covenant with them at the foot of Mount Sinai hundreds of years ago. Such defiance lead to behavior that had not completely discounted YHWH, but such pride and insolence made excuses to do things in a way that was convenient for the beastly side of man. What resulted was chintzy, cut-rate, cheap-jack low-grade oil, producing a thick, black smoke that sullied the sacred interior walls of the Holy place inside the Mishkan. But YHWH instructs us to bring Pure, Beaten, Bruised and Crushed Oil, daily to the High Priest Aaron for servicing the Menorah--symbolic of 5|Page

Messiah Yeshua, because He is The Spotless Lamb who takes away the sin of the world! (1 Pe.1:19;Jn.1:29) . Refining, purificationis necessary so that we can bring that the message will be pure and transparent. We read, Gods command to keep the lamps burning throughout the hours of darkness indicates that God is a God of light (see 1 John 1:5). Under cover of darkness, it is difficult to judge reality and easier to hide the truth. God is not a God of darkness. He wants His people to be transparent, having integrity and faith. He wants them to be obedient to His program for living. That is what it means to live in the light of Gods presence as Christ does (1 John 1:7) (The Life Recovery Bible, footnote 27:20-21 p.112) The shemen we bring, the spirit in which we do & bring it is made pure as we filter our lives through His Torah.
25

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:25-27 RSV) A vifes conduct speaks louder than her husbands vords. If you want to know what the spiritual temperature is of a home, observe the wife. She will reveal her husband, as she is the heart of the home.

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. (Tit 2:14 NAS)
10

For we are of God's making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do. (Eph 2:10 CJB) And if we want to reflect His Kavod, then as His set-apart royal priesthood, we are going to DO & OBEY! The word for pounded in Hebrew comes from the word kaw-theeth, which is rooted in Strongs#3807, or kaw-thath, & it means to bruise or violently strike: Wasnt it Yeshua who was prophesied by Yeshayahu that [H]e was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isa 53:5 KJV) Our Anointed Messiahwhich means smeared with oil, was beaten, willingly, and crushed in obedience to His Father to fulfill the purpose for which He was sent. And it was His blood, like the precious pure oil used to keep the Menorah burning daily, which poured down the tree so the veil could be taken away, that blindness could be removed, & for hearts to be restored. The word for oil in Hebrew is Shemen, Strongs 8081. The root word there is ShawmA Shin and a mem which is the exact same root word used for the breath of life, the Neshawmah that YHWH breathed into Adam so that he could become a living soul and fulfill the purpose he was originally created for. Beloved, God is teaching us that if we are going to fulfill our purpose, then we too must be willing, like our Messiah, to sometimes suffer the bruising and humbling tests that come to rage against 7|Page

us. and sometimes our righteous labors will involve a measure of suffering, a humbling but crucial reminder that we are the clay, and Abba is The Potter. The lesson however, is that if we will with an honest & willing heart, go where He sends us, He will LIGHT UP THE WORLD AND DRAW ALL NAS MEN UNTO HIM! Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory

of the LORD has risen upon you. 2 "For behold, darkness will cover the earth, And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you, And His glory will appear upon you. "And nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 "Lift up your eyes round about, and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will be carried in the arms. "Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart will thrill and rejoice; Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, The wealth of the nations will come to you. (Isa 60:1-5 NAS)

We were not created unto ourselves (See Psalm 100). You see, the gift of redemption had been provided. Israel had been redeemed. But once taken out of the house of bondage, Israel had to learn that now they no longer served a cruel and harsh taskmaster, but rather answered to their Holy Elohim, who loves them with an everlasting love, who desires not to extinguish that flame He first placed in Adams heart, but to grow it! And to reveal more and more to us that He desires to dwell in us and that we have an active role to play in the cultivation of our relationship with Him.

Exo.27:20-30:10

Ezek.43:10-27

Phil.4:10-20

A vital connection is about to be made here. Please pay close attention to the following concepts as we seek to understand who exactly YHWH desires for us to aspire to fully become. In the above verse we read that the spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD. The lamp there in Hebrew is the ner, or Menorahso much like what stood in the holy place in the Mishkan, we too have been equipped with inside our heart. Remember, we are the Holy Tabernacle of YHWH!
16

Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1Co 3:16 NAS) Now, the spirit of man. Have we really considered and studied what that entire phrase means? Allow me to explain. First, the word there for man is Adam. It refers to mankind, as stated in Strongs#120 to mean ruddy, i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.). Adam means man; mankind; people; Adam (the first man). It also means to show blood (in the face), i.e. flush or turn rosy:--dyed red. In Benners Ancient Hebrew Lexicon it adds, To be red as a color or through the shedding of blood. The color red, the color of blood, man and the earth (Benner. #1082 C (v) & (n), p.94). Now, hold that thought just a moment and lets investigate another curious word in our Proverbs verse. What is the word for spirit? In Hebrew it is the word neshmh, meaning a puff, i.e. wind, angry or vital breath, divine inspiration, intellect, or an animal breath. In the 9|Page

Exo.27:20-30:10

Ezek.43:10-27

Phil.4:10-20

Theological Wordbook of the O.T. we read neshama, generally signifies the breath of life. It is frequently found in combination with ruach spirit. (1433 nasham, p.605) Etz Hayim makes a very important point in that the Hebrew phrase nishmat hayyim appears only (emphasis mine)in this verse. It matches the unique nature of the human body which, unlike the bodies of creatures in the animal world, is given life directly by GOD. (The Breath of Life, p.13.) Rashis commentary points out that Thus the human being is a combination of the earthly and the divine. After death, the body returns to the earth, its source, and the soul to God, its source. (Etz Hayim, p.13) Beresheet chapter 2, verse 7 we read, 7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the liuing being. (Gen 2:7 NAS).

breath of life;

and man became a

The word there in Hebrew for breath of life there is nishmat chaim, and the word nishmat is from the same word neshmh. So, now we are able to begin to handle these concepts rightly, in context with Torahand we see that The Spirit of man is actually that breath of Life that YHWH breathed into that lifeless clay, formed in His likeness so named Adam! This has life-changing implications one you begin to wrap your heart around what YHWH is doing Beloved. My friends, Adonai is not calling you to be something you are not but He is calling upon us to realize that apart from Him, we are little more than lifeless clay, possessed with a beastly spirit, driven and motivated by our primal desires.

Ben Adam- An inquisitive title. READ Ezekiel 3:10-14 PLEASE

The word above, Haadom, as shown here in Paleo-Hebrew is almost cryptic in nature as it speaks more about the heart of God, and is the word for footstool. Comprised of a Heh, a Dalet, a Waw, and a Mem, we have this very interesting word, out which a root word exists that similar critical words also share to obtain their meanings. This word albeit not in this parsha is yet a very vital component to us gaining proper understanding of the deeper meanings associated with the text. Essentially we begin to read through the parsha, and detect a definite sense of orderOrder established and prescribed by YHVH for His people; because as pointed out in last weeks parsha, God wants Israel to construct Him a sanctuary where His presence can reside among them. And this is not to be taken lightly because remember, GOD has created man in His imagewhich means Hes given them the gift of free-will. So much of mans success or failure in this venture is dependent upon his willingness to obey, or to rebel. In drawing another connection between the Torah parasha and the Haftarah we read, Gods Shechinah (or Glory) rests ultimately on His people, not on their architecture. His purpose is man, not mans temples. (Yechezkel, p.xx). Mishkan is taken from Strongss#4908: rooted in the word shkan, Strongs# 7931, shaw-kan; meaning to dwell, inhabit, settle down, abide. 11 | P a g e

Exo.27:20-30:10

Ezek.43:10-27

Phil.4:10-20

Once we realize as pointed out repeatedly in last weeks parasha Terumah, that Adonai has not come to dwell among man, but IN man, then we can begin to see the Mishkan in light of what Hes trying to do in each of us as individuals, and as the corporate body of Mashiach, Ahmein? Ahmein. In the beginning of the Haftarah portion, Ezekiel 43 verse 10 we read, 10 As for you, son of man (Ben Adam), describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the plan. (Eze 43:10 NAS) In 587-586 B.C.E., Jerusalem was destroyed, the Temple was burned, and most of the population was deported to Babylon. Not coincidentally the root word for Babylon is Bbel, Strongs#894 and means Confusion. The root of Babel is Strongs#1101, or blal, meaning to mix, or mingled. The Sages of that time express that the Kingdom of Israel was deported to Babylon and in exile they continued in confusion, unable to reason out how they were overtaken. In Israels mind the people honestly believed that so long as the temple stood and they continued to bring offerings that they were impenetrable. (Yechezkel) What we witness in the weeks parasha is The mishkans early construction, its furnishings, the priestly garments, the altar of incense, and the significance man plays in this relationship with YHWH. God is establishing His means to bring His kingdom from Heaven down to Earth!

What does His NAME mean again? Fame, Reputation, Character. "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Mat 6:9-10 ESV) And so what we have in Exodus is a beautiful picture of Gods blueprint being followed by people He fills with His Spirit to carry out the work. Remember, last week we discussed, even before the raw materials could be brought as a TerumahGod made it explicitly clear He wants our heart First & Foremost! Before YHWH can cause allow a sanctuary for Him to be built, He has to give the blueprints. The blueprints are The Torah. Torah teaches us how to live a Holy, Set-Apart life. How do we know this? "See, I have taught you statutes and judgments (Mishpatim) just as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do thus in the land where you are entering to possess it.

(Deu 4:5-7 NAS) The time in Exodus at the construction of the Mishkan is approximately 1440 B.C.E. and the time Yechezkel begins his ministry to the Israelite exiles in Babylon is about 593 B.C.E. So roughly 850 years have passed. From the time the Israelites constructed the Mishkan in the

(Eze 22:2-12 CJB) Israel had forgotten GOD Israel had become little more than the earthy, beastly clay they had been formed out of on the same day as the beasts of the earth. Here comes Yeshua 5 Let your attitude toward one another be governed by your being in union with the Messiah Yeshua: 6 Though he was in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God something to be possessed by force. On the contrary, he emptied himself, in that he took the form of a slave by becoming like human beings are. And when he appeared as a human being, 8 he humbled himself still more by becoming obedient even to death- death on a stake as a criminal! 9 Therefore God raised him to the highest place and gave him the name above every name; (Phi 2:5-9 CJB) Yeshua came down as a man. He humbled Himself GOD raised Him up And caused The greatest name of all, which speaks of reputation and character to dwell on Him. Yeshua came down to earth to show mankind how to walk in Torah. Exo.27:20-30:10

Ezek.43:10-27

Phil.4:10-20

Listen oh my dear ones!!! What Jesus did by coming down to earth and humbling himself as a man, and demonstrating how to walk a life full of His Spirit, obeying and Doing Torah was designed to instruct us on how to become all we were intended. What is the implication of the title Adam with which man was crowned and by which he was challenged to make himself worthier than the angels? Samson Raphael Hirsch derives the word from a footstool. Man was intended as the footstool, the support and resting place of the Shechinah. Creation was meant to become an extension of Gods holiness, but only man, by the proper use of his intelligence and his free-willed conquest of the animal within him, could make it so. No other element of creation would fashion the conditions for Gods resting placeonly man. Adam may well be derived from adamah (earth). The abode of his soul is an earthy clod, the same substance that produced the lower forms of animal life and which represents the myriad lust to which he is subject. But he has the mission of conquering the adamah within himself and turning it to the service of his soul (Yechezkel. pp. xxxiii-xxxiv) No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 8:37-39 NIV)
37

Yeshua, The Last Adam, came to demonstrate how we can overcome not just the valleys and obstacles without, but that beastly adamah, or earthy clod we were formed from to become More Than Conquerors! And through realizing that we formed from the dirt, we realize from what depths weve been raise by YHWH, but it is only when we humble 17 | P a g e

Exo.27:20-30:10

Ezek.43:10-27

Phil.4:10-20

ourselves, as Yeshua demonstrated, even to the point of death on the cross that we too become the footstool where GODs Shekinah can dwell! It is with the humble heart that it begins to make sense when we read the Haftarah that says 12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house. (Eze 43:12 KJV)

The Whole Limit= BOUNDARY

Law= TORAH

Shall be MOST HOLY!

Israel had lost holiness because they no longer walked according to the pattern YHWH set forth. They had lost their wisdom and understanding because they no longer followed Torah, and therefore lost the ability to discern how to establish proper boundaries which are vital to establishing the difference between Holy & Profane, Clean and Unclean! Pride came in. When pride comes inin comes the fall. When pride comes in, man refuses to abide in YHWHs Torah and YHWH WILL NOT, CANNOT DWELL WHERE HIS WORD IS NOT OBEYED! The beauty however, YHWH instructs Yechezkel, show them the pattern. Because He knows their hearts will be broken in recognizing they have rebelled and gone astray, resulting in bondage once againbut YHWH is going to refine, renew and restore them once they humble themselves and bring, just like their ancestors did in Terumah, a humble and willing heart!
