Apart from the flights during controlled operations,an airplane may also be subjected to disturbanceswhich may cause changes in its flight path andproduce rotations about its axes. The study of these motions of the airplane –eitherintended by the pilot or those following adisturbance–forms the subject of Flight Dynamics.
Flight Dynamics:
It is a branch of dynamicsdealing with the forces acting and the motion of anobject moving in the earth’s atmosphere. In this course our attention is focused on motion of the airplane. Helicopters, rockets and missiles arenot covered .
