Activity Time
This week we will do a series of worksheets that relate to the topic. After reviewing rooms of the house the students will be given a worksheet that contains a list of rooms with letters missing. They must fill in the blanks and also match the word to the correct picture. We will also do a worksheet that relates to household objects. The students will colour first and then cut out pictures of many house hold objects from various rooms in the house. They will then make five headings in their English exercise books: !iving room"# kitchen"# bathroom"# bedroom# and dining room.# They will then stick each object into their books under the correct heading to show where each object is found in the house. We will also learn the rooms of the house song# this week which focuses on pronunciation and on activities that you can do in each room. We will play splat# and flashcard draw# to review the vocabulary and we will also play a game of hangman to test for spelling. $ther games will be pictionary# where the students are invited to draw household objects while other students can guess and charades# where students will act out an activity and other students will guess and name the associated room.
