Description

This is the first episode of When Good and Evil Collide: Hope, the third book in the series. Each episode is about as long, if not quite a bit longer, than Summon or Chosen. This too is a work in progress, though it is much farther along than Summon or Chosen, due to more extensive rewrites.

"The story advances all the way to Spring, 2006. Many years have passed since the events at Rokkotsu Pass, and since then, Katan has remained hidden from the world's eye. However, the time for his reemergence grows near. With the Chosen Ones gone, he begins preparations to go through with his main mission that he was created for.

Hope arises within Rome, New York, as a struggling high school senior, Michael Connors, begins experiencing strange dreams that point him to a larger role in the grand scheme of things than he ever imagined. After a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger, he is set on a path that will lead him to his destiny.

At the same time, two siblings, Gale and Drake Fontane, are driving through Rome, dealing with their own issues along the way. When an accident occurs, however, their fates are permanently linked with Michael's, sending them all careening into two separate worlds that are completely different than their own. Michael is doubly stunned when he recognizes the place that he suddenly appears in reminds him exactly of a video game he used to play.

Now, with their perception of reality altered, Michael and the stranger, as well as Gale and Drake, must find a way to survive the sudden new dangers that surround them. And all the while, they unknowingly hurdle closer to the force of death and destruction that is Katan..."
