Dear Drs. Fineberg, Alberts, Grant, and Ms. Evans:

This is to bring to your attention allegations of fraud committed against your organizations by Dr. Henry J. Heimlich, known for the Heimlich maneuver, and Dr. Edward A. Patrick, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Union, Kentucky. In order to change rescue protocols for near-drowning rescue to include the use of the Heimlich maneuver, it is alleged that Heimlich & Patrick presented fabricated medical case reports to committees of the Institute of Medicine and the American Heart Association.
