GTM Overview
WHAT IS GLOBAL TRANSACTION MANAGER?
Global Transaction Manager is a transaction processing application designed
as State Street\u2019s solution for custody only model, enhanced to improve State
Street\u2019s internal straight-through processing capability. GTM key features
include the following:
\ue001Provides Internal Custody Only Straight-Through Processing-
provides real-time electronic data enrichment to trades and Foreign Exchange
transactions.
\ue001New Custody Only Functionality- Depository Alleged Settlements and DTC
ID BID trade processing.
\ue001Provides New Client Functionality\u2013 Clients have the ability to view
workitems and resolve exceptions for Trade Processing, DTC ID Affirmation and Alleged
Settlements. They also have access to transaction monitoring and management of
workflow features.
\ue001Provides Internal Straight-Through Processing\u2013 Electronically builds
54X trade and FX cash messages and sends these transactions downstream.
\ue001Leverages Existing Technology Components\u2013 Combines new
processing logic with the existing workflow and rules management workflow software
components of FTM, plus the data component of GRS.
\ue001Accepts Electronic Transactions- Accepts electronic transactions from STS,
SMAC, and from existing SSC ETD product pipeline.
\ue001Edits and Formats Transactions- in support of upstream and downstream
custody and banking products.
\ue001Exception-Based Processing- Exception items are prioritized and pushed to
user defined work groups for resolution via workflow enabled environment.
\ue001High Level of Controls- Provides manager-level monitoring of work queues and
work item resolution and dynamic workload re-balancing.
\ue001High Level of Security\u2013 Protected by two factor authentication for external
users per Corporate Information Security guidelines.
\ue001Browser-Based Format- Provides user-friendly access to flexible Java based
HTML screens. Easy installation.
