Nice graphics but 2007 Sudanese export figures show 48% went to Japan against 31% to China. China also has oil exploration concessions for Darfur that Chveron and Exxon are waiting to inherit from after regime change -- that latter pair are in no hurry because they'd that rather just have the real estate without any tenants and squatters.
China has sent Peacekeepers under UN mandate, however.
