Animal Cell
1. Cell membrane The cell membrane separates the cell from the outside habitat and it controls what goes in and out of the cell. 2. Cytoplasm The cytoplasm includes every organelle found within the cell except the nucleus. 3. Mitochondria The mitochondria produces the cell energy through cellular respiration. 4. Nucleus The nucleus is the control center of the cell and contains DNA. 5. Nuclear membrane The nuclear membrane controls what goes in and out of the nucleus. 6. Golgi bodies The Golgi bodies packages the materials from the ER and sends it to the other organelles. 7. Lysosome The lysosomes break down old food particles and worn out cell parts with an enzyme that can break things down. 8. Smooth endoplasmic reticulum The smooth ER is a system of passageways that carries materials throughout the cell.( not covered with ribosomes) 9. Rough endoplasmic reticulum The rough ER is a system of passageways that carries materials throughout the cell.(covered with ribosomes) 10. Nucleolus The nucleolus is found inside the nucleus and it produces the ribosomes for the cell. 11. Very small vacuole The vacuole stores food, water, waste, and other materials for the cell. 12. Chromosomes The chromosomes are found within the nucleus and are a structure made of DNA and ribosomes. 13. Ribosomes The ribosomes assembles amino acids to create proteins for the cell.
