Head lice home remedies; how powerful kitchen cabinet ingredients can crush ourcreepy, crawly "friends"Summer is over, school has begun, and all is quiet again. That is until in thenext few weeks you mothers and fathers see their darlings coming back from class, scratching their heads and you find those nasty little crawly critters in theirhair. And Yes I mean head lice. Seriously annoying but there are some very simplenatural ways to get rid of themThe reason I prefer the natural way is-first of all because most store bought products contain pesticides. Doctors agreethat if your child is 2 years old or younger, you should not use medicated licetreatments anyway, way too dangerous. I agree, there are many natural ways to getrid those pesky parasites-It is known that with repeated use of these pesticides lice have become resistant-They are unpleasant to use; the chemicals are rather aggressive and can irritatethe skin and your airways-Because of their chemical properties, breastfeeding or pregnant women or peoplewith allergies and medical conditions should also not use head-lice-Finally they are expensive, especially compared to natural home remedies whichuse only ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen or medicine cabinetSo here are my 4 favorite home remedies, I have found them to be safe, easy, powerful and most of all effective1) Really soak your child’s hair in coconut oil and cover the head with a towel. You should leave it on for a few hours or even for the night. Afterward wash itwith shampoo, you could also use coconut conditioner or coconut oil. Repeat ifnecessaryThere is something in coconut oil that lice don't really "appreciate."By the way this not only kills the lice and nits it will also make your hair lookand feel silky smooth (nice extra…)2) Use Listerine (yes, the mouthwash.) Experts say that the alcohol (26.9 %),eucalyptol, thymol, menthol and methyl salicylate in Listerine are probably toxicto liceFirst wash your hair and towel-dry it. Soak and rub your head and hair withListerine, do not spray because it might get in the eyes. Cover the head with atowel and leave it in for the nightIf you use coconut shampoo and conditioner or coconut oil you will be double sureYou can repeat this the second day but for most people this will not even benecessary anymore. Although it can still be a good idea to kill eventual new eggsor lice that come from other infested places like pillows, beds etc3) Use full fat mayonnaise. Apply it generously to the hair, until every strand isthickly covered. Wrap the head in plastic wrap to keep the mayonnaise in. Leave itin overnight and in the morning thoroughly wash and condition, preferably with
