SOP No. 2.

Is there a significant difference in teaching competencies between the college teachers, pre-service teachers, and cooperating teachers? Null Hypothesis Ho: There is no significant difference in teaching competencies between the college teachers, pre-service teachers, and cooperating teachers. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to test if there is significant differences in the teaching competencies between the three groups of teachers namely the college teachers, pre-service teachers, and cooperating teachers. Results of analysis showed that there is significant difference in teaching competencies between the college teachers, preservice teachers, and cooperating teachers with sig=0.012 (the value of significance should be less than 0.05 to make it significant).

This result was further supported by the mean scores between the three groups of teachers in terms of Teaching Competencies. Notice that their mean scores although were all moderately high ranging from 3.60682 to 3.81545, the college teachers have the least mean score of 3.60682, pre-service teachers with a mean of 3.77933, and cooperating teachers (IBED) with the highest mean score of 3.81545. Implication: These results of significant difference implied that the teaching competencies in three groups vary significantly Since the result is of significant difference, the null hypothesis is rejected.

Multiple Comparisons

Test further was made to see where the significant difference lie. The Method of Least Square Difference (LSD) was conducted.

Results showed that there is significant difference in teaching competencies between: a. College teachers and IBED Teachers b. College Teachers and Pre-Service Teachers (sig=0.006) (sig=0.027)

But there is no significant difference between IBED Teachers and Pre-Service Teachers (sig=0.661 which is more than 0.05) Note that these results support the statement that the college teachers have the least mean score of 3.60682, pre-service teachers with a higher mean of 3.77933, and cooperating teachers (IBED) with the highest mean score of 3.81545.
