Emmanuel De Brito is a photographer born in Domont (France) in 1972. He graduated in Civil Engineering from Lyon University and subsequently studied chemistry and physics in Paris and successively worked as a building engineer when he designed the Sablons Theatre in Neuilly-sur-Seine, a suburb of Paris where he currently lives. Just over five years ago, De Brito became extremely passionate about photography and he now works as a freelance photographer. He takes great pleasure in rediscovering urban landscapes, through his lens with his minimalist touch. Many of Emmanuel De Brito's photos are taken in cities such New York, Paris, and Venice, showing for example, their skylines or graffiti walls. Another recurring subject is nature that surrounds human beings. Detail plays an important role in his photography and through this detail the viewer sees what he had become blind to as it had become part of daily routine and its value was no longer be appreciated. De Brito has participated in group exhibitions in 2011 and 2012 in France and Italy and in 2013 he won second prize at the Chianti Star Festival, Italy.

de Hansi
Dinamarca
De Hansi grew up in west Jutland, Denmark. The importance of having lived near a river and being closely linked to the water cycle influences his painting and was also important when he chose to become a civil engineer, specializing in hydrology and hydraulics, and subsequently in his career as a hydrologist. Recently, the challenge of integrating society, the environment and economy has become a new research field for de Hansi and this has led him towards a growing interest in the human factor as part of the management of natural resources. The important aspect of de Hansi's art work is the pictorial organisation by virtue of neo-cubistic shapes, chromatic modulations and variations in brush strokes which unify the entire composition in a continuous process of reconciling multiplicity with an overall unity.

Sharina Gumbs, also known as Peepsqueek, was born in Aruba. She emigrated to the Netherlands at the age of seven and grew up in what always seemed like a foreign country to her and where she felt like a visitor. She always longed to return home. Her father had remained in Aruba with his wife and family and it would take thirteen more years before she saw him again. Growing up without a father made her into a thinker and a wonderer and she has always explored the meaning of love, family, identity and relationships. Unable to express her emotions in spoken words as a child, she found an escape in drawing and writing. Her main purpose as an artist is to see and show people as they are, from the heart but without judgement. She searches for a universal language through art, a language which is able to unite people. Sharinas interest in the human character led to her study behavioural science and to her initial profession as a social worker. It was not until her early forties that she allowed herself to unleash the artist within and as a result, her abstract art is a very dynamic and intuitive reflection on her own being.

Evelyne Huet
Francia
Born in 1955 in Paris, Evelyne Huet is a mathematician by training. She also studied anthropology. Strongly influenced by the cultures and arts of societies that are seen as primitive, her paintings have long sought to depict women and girls and in particular, the courage they display in the face of violent situations and extremely difficult living conditions many of them have had to confront to varying degrees. The women she paints do not see themselves as victims and never resign themselves to their fate, on the contrary many actively challenge their circumstances from within. She endeavours to simplify her representations to the extreme to provide a lighter reading of her paintings and most importantly to avoid evoking pathos and having to explain her work, whilst aiming to show only what she believes to be essential. A member of the OpenArtCode group of international artists, Evelyne lives in Paris and her paintings are regularly displayed in solo and group shows in France and abroad (Italy, Spain, Israel and China). She is also one of the artists of the Galerie Teodora, Paris.

Herv Bindefeld, born in 1965 in Paris, was already passionate about photography as an adolescent. However at that time he decided not to take it up as a professional career as he felt that photography was based on an instant shot and it was not possible to play with transparencies, overprints and other ways of moving away from reality. He subsequently became a doctor but it was years later, that he picked up his camera again, given the vast expressive possibilities that are now offered by todays technology when applied to photography. His creative streak inspired his photographic compositions that looked at street sculptures with the themes of animation and life. At that stage of his artistic career he took on the artistic name of Hv, a fine-art photographer with his own vocabulary and recognisable style. His contemporary take on antique sculptures is emotionally moving and certainly surprising. After the success of several exhibitions worldwide including Paris, Brussels, Florence, Miami, Hvs artistic photography is available permanently in a gallery in Paris as well as one in New York. In 2013, he won first prize at the Chianti Star Festival, Italy.

Sinae Lee
Canad | Corea
After many years in painting what is on the outside world, I have come to realize I have more to paint within. What is within is so much like what is on the outside, they look chaotic, yet one can find order. Finding order is the subject of my painting. When I am standing in front of a canvas, it literally confronts me as the chaotic world confronts me. The noise, colours, shapes and movements come across as thoughts and memories. They challenge me to find the order to recreate them back into colours and shapes. Born in Korea, Sinae now lives in Toronto, Canada where she was educated and where she works as a full time artist. She uses water colour and acrylics to paint images of these inner and outer worlds as they are intertwined in our lives. Sinae regularly exhibits in North America, Europe and Asia and her works are in private and corporate collections worldwide.

Don Lisy
Don Lisy, currently living in Brooklyn, New York, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. His art is a way of revolting against the Midwest sensibilities that dominate the critical and popular mind sets of his hometown. Influenced by Francis Bacon and Egon Schiele, each of Don's works is created in one session. By immediately succumbing to the emotional energy that inspires his work, Don feels he is best able to represent that emotion if he can complete that work before the feeling dissipates. Each resulting work is more of a self portrait of an emotional event rather than an image concerned with aesthetics.

Giovanna Lysy
Italia
For Giovanna Lysy her homeland in Tuscany, in the heart of the Val dOrcia at La Foce, where natural beauty has not been spoilt by man and time appears suspended, is of fundamental importance. She chooses to use materials for her sculptures that are taken from the agricultural instruments of the past, mostly made of iron, as well as travertine from the local quarries. The contrast with todays accelerated rhythm of life is accentuated in the verticality of her sculptures that derives mainly from the addition of glass and the varied effects of marbled paper, playing with transparency and colour. Geometry is the common element that blends these assembled elements and light, essential and vital to each piece, becomes the variable element that offers a constantly changeable view point, the discovery of a previously invisible detail, both in the sculpture itself and in the surrounding space. Though most of her sculptures are largesized they are never intrusive, as they are meant to integrate with the space in which they are set like silent spectators. Giovanna has participated in various solo and collective shows throughout Italy, most recently in The Naturalists, curated by Peter Miller in the summer of 2013.

Peny Manavi was born in in Sofa, Bulgaria 1968. As the artist herself says, "Nature for me constitutes a source of inspiration, a stimulus and an object of admiration with its diversity, its wealth and beauty, its oddities and mysteries""the dream element and the factor of imagination transform the realism of the representation process. In my artwork a balance between realism and abstraction can be found. One can recognize the motifs and themes, however, subject and space are often unified, as are light and colour, as one defines the other." She has exhibited in both solo and group shows. George Oommen
George Oommen is a Boston-based, Harvard-educated architect and painter whose art is inspired by the memories of a childhood spent in the spice coast of Kerala in India. His landscapes take viewers on enchanted journeys, reflecting the verdant views, serene waterways and sun-drenched skies of Kerala. Some of these journeys are mystical, such as the collection entitled Sacred Spaces Within You. These abstract compositions are inspired by Indian temples where pilgrims are conveyed from secular spaces to the inner sanctum of ones spiritual self. Oommens art is very versatile. It is tactile, emotional, spiritual and as sensual as the vivid colours of the silk saris that have influenced his Kanjeevaram series. His artistic explorations have created a unique aesthetic style that mirrors the monsoon and the rain-swept visuals of his imagined homeland. Oommen has had various retrospective, solo and collective shows in the USA and in Russia and in February 2014, the Sunaparanta Goa Centre of Art in India hosts Oommen in a solo show.

The painter Sara Palleria was born in Rome, where she still lives and works. She received her degree in Education Sciences and she continues to work in this research field in parallel with her artistic career, with particular reference to the world of colour linked to the psychology of emotions. The crossing of colour, alternating between heaven and earth, between light and dark ... the expression of colours and materials ... all that seems to be... and instead becomes something else, where colours and the earth slip away and cling to uncertain boundaries in the nature of the underlying human journey. Lisbeth Sandvall
Suecia
Lisbeth Sandvall, a Swedish artist, uses oil as her primary means of expression, but she also works with graphics, gouache and watercolours. She says, my creative work is based on my presence in the process. A line, a silhouette or a colour may be the point of departure. What I find so exciting is the very process of building the image: finding a response in the picture, settling on the right balance and palette. To me, colour is extremely important. It is often a matter of trying to capture something that ends up as semi-abstract landscapes and figures or wholly abstract pictures. They are pictures that make the viewer think about life and the interaction between people. These paintings derive their inspiration from situations and events in daily life, even though they are not strictly representative. The landscapes do not consist of earth and sky but rather of colours which interact on the canvas to form a whole that my eyes perceive as a landscape, a mood in a space. In the same way, the figures do not portray individual human beings but are rather the symbols of human beings." (Review in Smlandsposten).

Tiril
She began to draw when she was very young and now works with all sizes of canvas, papers and boards using oils, acrylics, watercolours and gouache, as well as pencil, soft pastels, pen and ink. "My work is purely intuitive. The concept will manifest as the painting evolves. Each painting to me is a record of an extraordinary moment of existence, a confirmation in the reality of the journey of the spirit. Always cognizant of the tenuous balance necessary for the paintings evolution, I yield to a greater force. It is within this state of thoughtless awareness that I am able to connect on a level that I cannot verbalize. I believe that through the language of art, we are able to communicate on the highest vibrational level." Tiril has had solo and collective shows in the USA, France and Italy. Her works belong to private collections in numerous countries. www.artbytiril.com

Max Werner
Blgica
Max Werner was born in Ghent, Belgium and he studied at the Slade School of Art in London. He taught printmaking in the UK and worked in the Art House Gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentina and currently resides in the USA. Often triggered by a simple observation of his immediate environment such as landscapes, Max Werner loves the challenge of an unusual composition and the capturing of the diversity of light in the various places he travels to. Perhaps to get a deeper understanding of his work, it helps to know that Magritte is one of Werners favourite artists. Werner generally paints in his studio a few weeks after having seen his subject matter, using sketches and photos, but never relying on recorded reality. The end result is an image which evokes a mood, and which conveys what the artist felt at the time, rather than a faithful representation of the place described. This in turn invites the viewer to reflect on what it expresses.

Candace Wilson is an American artist who studied in France but her travels in the deserts of Africa and Oman, to the Antarctica and the Arctic, were her true source of learning and inspiration. Her creative process is fuelled by a desire to shift the consciousness of her viewers on to another plane and the freedom of the abstract forms allows her to achieve this. Without the conditioning imposed by language or labels, consciousness awakens and the paintings exist in themselves, not as preconceived images or ideas. By incorporating some of the newly understood quantum healing modalities, Candace has created works that affect body, mind, and spirit. Recognising the beneficial effect for their patients, many healing facilities are now acquiring Candace's work. She is widely collected internationally, both corporately and privately.
