 Welcome to the special EKIC Workshop Preview Edition o the ICr! Tis month issue will be dierent rom our past issues as theocus has been shited towards previewing the upcoming EKIC Workshop/Discussion Forum. Not to worry, our regularly scheduledICr eatures will back and ready to go with some new surprises. In the meantime, this issue will showcase the speakers and projectsthat will be profled at the workshop. Although these brie discriptions o the speakers and projects do not do them any justice, it isintended to provide everyone with a general idea o the great discussions that are to come - It’s really an appetizer o sorts.Tis year we have been very ortunate to have a wonderul mix o local, national, and international speakers rom both the public andprivate sector to share some insights on the new developments in engaging health consumers and patients. Tis panel o speakers willbe ollowed by a second panel o presentations showcasing three prominent projects exempliying EKIC’s eort in expanding thescope and reach o its projects. Te workshop will be concluded with a acilitated discussion to collectively identiy how we can moveorward in promoting public engagement.Registration is still open or the event; but the remaining space is limited. For those who cannot make the journey out here to Vancouver,there is still an opportunity or you to participate through WebEx; however, there are a limited amount o WebEx seats, so please RSVPas early as possible.
