April 2009. Almost three years before Wonderland would publicly announce Powers & Sullivan's presence in this Hole thus initiating the forensic audit, the following Board of Selectmen minutes provide a glimpse of the Deception and Thievery taking place down here.

For starters, Outsiders, note those in attendance: Brad Miner Worcester T&G reporter (now "retired"), Ellenor Downer (editor of the Barre Gazette), Chief BPD Erik Demetropoulos, Charles Fullam (EMS Administrator & Capt. of the nonprofit Barre Emergency & Rescue Squad Inc.), George Ricker (unqualified Building Inspector), Kurt Wells & Wilbert Lincoln (Cemetery Commission members).

A perfect storm creating one magical moment in time that embodies Wonderland's sublime essence...

I. Don Jacobs Classification & Compensation Study includes EMS (that would be the nonprofit employees); The recs. would never be adopted & Wonderland's Personnel Board would later be dissolved in '13;
II.Selectmen unilaterally approve a $3,600 expense by Fullam to be transferred out of the AMBULANCE RECEIPTS RESERVED FUND since it "does not affect the budget";
III. The Cemetery Commissioners - less than a month after Earl Sample's death appear to discuss missing records
