HA...HA...HA...man this M.M.Ninan is just toooooo much...guess the indian summers are doing their bit eh???

First i began to doubt his knowledge after he started by "beating around the bush" as visible from his beginning of his previous evangelist book with hindu mantras...trying too much to show that he is secular eh???

First any hindu will accept the right of a particular person to argue his cause "intelligibly". ...BUT this is absolutely tooo much...

why doesnt he say that the millenia old hindu temples are nothing but spoofs and the Lord Pasupathy images unearthed in the Indus valley regions were carved by the archaeologists present there in 2009 after we, hindus, were "envious"(?!) of the christian religion and of the teachings of Apostle Thomas and had to hurriedly incorporate them to hinduism???!....

anyway guys we better believe him....OR ELSE

I am a hindu born and brought up in India. This author and his claims are baseless. I believe this is one of the cheap tricks of christian evangelists. Sanskrith and Hinduism predates atleast 5 century BC. Hinduism is the oldest religion of the world. Hinduism was then called Sanatana Dharma which means eternal truth which doesnt have beginning nor end.

Infact Jesus Christ was missing until 33 years of age certain evidence says he came to india and learnt about Lord Krishna and Hindu Ethos and preached back to middle-east. Therefore Christianity came out of Hinduism!!!

Hindutva was born in 21st century to fight these christian evangelists and islamic fundamentalists. Hindutvadis arise to fight these evils. Hindutvadis we should combine our strengths and teach these evangelists a lesson. They have destroyed many many cultures around the world spurred so many wars. We should not let them to do this Hinduism and Hindustan.

U punks really suck...must be indians with an inferiority complex and black skin.

The ancient religion of India is NOT Hinduism,
Its VEDIC BRAHMANISM............... .............hinduism
is of course an evolution of it, and evolved much later,
later then christianity.

If you cant differentiate between Vedic Brahmanism and hinduism or the classical religion of India and the modern, you have no right to be a hindu. Go suck an egg.

Yeah and carbon dating is never 100% correct as the c14 easil;y gets contaminated and can give false readings.

Question: If this is supposed to "authentic" , "objective", why do we see only the quotations and "exceprts" from Indology sources?

There is no in depth discussion of the Hindu scriptures or references to relevant passages with a detailed explaination, as we would find in any authentic Hindu text, in Sanskrit.

This entire effort seems to be focussed on regurgitating all the bile spewed by motivated Anglo-Saxon Christian Colonialists in the past 150 years.

An ad-verbatim reproduction of the muck floating on the net in various websites.

It is eminently clear the author never went beyond the "authentic" Euro-centric indology sources - library references, pamplets and sources like "idiots" guide on Hinduism written for practicing Christian Evangelists and such. Nor went beyond this biased literature to study Vedas or Upanishads from reputed Scholars. Nor bothered to understand the Purana's to really dig into timeline of India and Sanatana Dharma.

I bet he never chanted a single mantra, to experience the profound spiritual upliftment.

Truth is this Prof. M.M.Ninan is a Christian Theologist and a Bible thumper.

His motivation behind this steamy publication is evident. Just a cursory google of his name will reaveal all the crap that is being peddled on the internet and the effect this crap on gullible mind is anybody's guess.

Just another native coolie Christian Theologician's "objective" wet-dream to please his Church and score additional brownie point on his way to salvation.

"A detailed stuy.." - eh? *lol*

People like Ninan are the biggest BLOT on Hinduism just like the Congress Party and the Leftists for whom Hinduism is like UNTOUCHABLE thing while Islam and Christianity are Sacred things. All this kind of people are very dangerous for humanity, and I believe they SHOULD BE IGNORED ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I did not read the whole thing because the very first sentence, "emergence of Hinduism from Christianity" is totally wrong. Hinduism came much much before than Christianity did. I do not know if you know this, but Hinduism is known to be the oldest religion in the history of human civilization; it predates recorded history. I think you need to do a lot of research before writing.
