Fight in the Name of Christ

Luke 22:42 - Father if you are willing, remove this cup from me.Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done.My will = nat. desires, my inclinations, my thoughts, perspectives, myopinions, my ideas about situations, or a place. This can govern ourthoughts and ideas. This cup = fig. experience, whether joyous oradverse. A div. appt. that God has for us. If you are willing removewhat you have for me. Nevertheless = without regarding it. Whatever!My opinions don't matter.How imp. is it that we have this attitude before God. When we seekhim, he will answer us. Will he give us a stone? If we are seeking Him,what do you want me to do, where do you want me to go? YouthRally? Eurocon? If you are just going through the day, and not seekingGod; God wants us to seek him, and care about what his will is. Hewants us to seek, ask, and say, Lord show me your will. He will showyou, and give you an answer. He is faithful.Thinking about Eurocon...It was amazing! Kyle and I have beenrunning and Eastern Prayer meeting...for this part of the world forabout a year. To be there and see all those we've been praying for, itwas such a joy and blessing.We take a chance. We seek God's will, and do what God has called usto do. The things He said to do, like go to church, He will honor us.Phil 3:15 - as many as are perfect, be thus minded = Christ's mind.Let this cup pass from me, nevertheless, not my will but thine bedone. If we are otherwise minded, God will reveal it to us. God isfaithful to let us know when we are taking a wrong step. He is faithfulto show us when we are off in an area.

Notice one vs. Then 1 Timothy. I asked a brother inHungary...he said to me, thanks for mentioning my testimony in thepulpit...Every time I go to Hungary we have an appt. and talk to ea.other. I said, What is God teaching you? He said, to fight. I said, canyou repeat that? He said, I mean it. To fight. God is teaching me tofight.I took that into my heart and thought about I Tim. 6;12 - fight thegood fight of faith. He said, its not my nature to be a fighter. Maybeour nature, we're not a fighter. But, when I become a believer, I startto believe that what I have is very imp. to me and the world we are in.It goes into our heart. This is John 17. Turn there and read with me.John 17:20. This is one of our favorite chapters, Christ's priestlyprayer. His prayer is the prayer. This is intercession for us. "Neitherpray I for these alone, but for them also in Baltimore, which shallbeleive on me in the 21st century, through their word."They were given the Word. Now we believe. THey prayed for us. TheLord cares for us and has saved us.vs 21 - that they may be one. This is one relationship. There are 3relationships. I don't want to keep you too long tonight. But, I've beentold that I should preach. We have the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.This is relat. #1. The Father, Son, and HS are one. God, the fathersent the Son into the world. We were outside of the Son. Then, theHS, God Himself came into the world and baptized us into the Son of God.vs 21 - they may be one...as thou are in me...that we would be one inthem. #2 relat.We are one in them. #3 - we are one in ea. other. We love ea. otherthe same way the Father loves the Son.When in Hungary, we saw and felt this oneness. It is an answer toJesus' prayer. That we would have this oneness. This is where we findthe basis of our faith, in the FS of the HS. The HS is the 3rd person of the Trinity. He baptized us into teh Son and put the Son of God in us.We are regenerated by the HS, Titus 3:5.

Regeneration is when Christ dwells in us. Baptism is when we are putinto the Son of God.vs 21 - that the world will beleive we are in Him. We are regenerated,redeemed, sancitified, baptized, forgiven...all these by definitionclearly show us we are very secure, all bec. of the Son of God. Nothingthat we have done by works of R, but by his mercy, and grace, thework of the cross, we are baptized into God himself. That's where weare permanently. This happened on the grounds of his son. His Son didit aqnd we are secure in Him.Now, we walk in the Spirit. This is optional. I Cor. 3:1. Or we arerenewed in the Sp. of our mind. There are those who are carnal.We have 3 kinds of consciousness: 1. I know I am conscious, andawake. This is consciousness. 2. Below this is the Sub-Cons. mind.This is where many of struggle. We often give up, bec. in our SubCon.mind, we have a large meas. of signals not from the HS.In our heart, we can say, we are unworthy, or guilty, or we don'tbelieve, or we give up, it doesn't work for me. Thats in the SubCon.The cons mind, I may have doctrine and believe it. But the truth mustgo into the SubCons mind. This happens by, Eph 4:23, the renewing of the mind by the HS. This is how we fight.When that Hungarian brother said to me, I'm learning to fight. Hesaid, I've come so far...He said, all I did was show up. Many times, Ididn't want to go to church. I didn't have anything else to do, so Icame. I had no interest. But, I just came. That little decision I made,over and over again, I can say, and this is a testimony. He is married,with 4 or 5 kids. His life, and what is happened, he says, I've learnedto fight for my marriage, for my life, for the ministry, the truth. I'velearned to be a fighter.I thought about that. In our Cons. mind, we have amazing truth. Weare one with God. We have been baptized into him. He dwells in us. Inour SubCons. mind, there is alot of activity where we talk ourselvesout of it.Matt. 15:21 - This will be a long closing. "Then Jesus went anddeparted to Tyre...A woman came and cried unto him...my daughter isvexed of the devil. He answered her not a word. The disciples said, gether out of here. She is a gentile dog.
