How? There are many different types of stress. There is physical stress (sports, positioning while sitting or lifting), emotional stress (too much work to do at work or trou- ble with family members), or chemical stress (not eating healthy or not drinking enough water). It is a known fact that stress has an
adverse reaction on your body's health. It physically manifests itself as pain, anx- iety, tight muscles, irritabili- ty and an overall feeling of tiredness or malaise. When we experience these types of symptoms, we generally turn to our primary doctor for some medication to help with the tight muscles or to help us relax. But what you probably did not know is that stress overloads you're your body and your nervous system which alters your body's ability to handle stress and its ability to heal. Your body is a self-regulat- ing, self- adapting organism. Your brain and nervous sys- tem control and coordinate ALL functions in your body. Interference to your nervous system from subluxations or
misalignments of your spinal vertebrae has an effect on your body's ability to func- tion normally. These sublux- ations and stress overload your nervous system to the point where your body may not function properly and it might start to break down. Loss of energy, feeling run- down, tight muscles and pain might be signs that your nervous system is not func- tioning well and you may be prone to getting sick.
In theory, if we were to remove the spinal subluxa- tions, then there will be minimal interference with your nervous system, and then your body would func- tion optimally, and it would be able to handle stress bet- ter. Doctors of chiropractic

It is no secret that college is becoming much too expen- sive for families to afford. There are changes that may come to help, but don’t get too
excited just yet. The big question for most families still remains the same: How will we comfortably afford the out of pocket portion that will still be our responsi- bility? No matter what the changes, the out of pocket
cost to most families is still a number they are not prepared to deal with efficiently.
On September 17th the House passed the Student Loan
would shift federal student lending entirely into the hands of the government--
currently private banks dis- burse about 75 percent of such loans. Even with these changes, the fact remains that loans are still going to be a big part of a family’s solu- tion to college costs. No matter how low the interest rate may be, and regardless of the lender, there are still
monthly payments that will be added to the monthly cash flow picture. These are new payments and if there isn’t much money left at the end of each month before college loans, a family must identify what will change to be ready for education loan payments? Be sure to project total loan payments for all the years in college, because that number can add up quickly.
Under SAFRA, the Pell grant will increase from $5,550 in 2010 to $6,900 by 2019. If there is
an increase to the Federal Pell Grant program, all fam- ilies must be aware that only families showing the greatest need qualify for the Federal Pell Grant. Remember, the family’s definition of need is far different than the Department of Education’s definition of need.
The SAFRA bill will create a more simple FAFSA form. If the financial aid
forms are simplified, that doesn’t mean everyone gets more financial assistance; it simply means that complet- ing the required forms may be less complicated and time consuming.
That might translate to more people applying for aid because some people who gave up and couldn’t figure out the forms before may now fill out a new, shorter and easier form.
be voted on in the Senate on Oct. 15. In the media the changes all sound great, but don’t assume the benefits will benefit your family.
