"Andy," said Sara, "you can't rely on us all of the time to defend you. It's dangerous to us, and to yourself as well. What would have happened if that girl really did take you away? One of us could have ended up dead! We don't know what lengths this woman will go to!" We had been back at my house for about twenty minutes after dropping Heather off, and most of this time was spent with Sara talking my ear off. As her tirade carried on I laid down on my bed and kept quiet, hoping she would eventually calm down. "Heather was terrified," she continued. "That girl is scarred now. All this time you have been using us as a personal harem and protection plan, but you never once considered any of the girls' safety or compliance! You're just an animal, I can't sta-" "Shut up already." I cut in and got up from the bed, using my height advantage to loom over her and increase my presence. "You know nothing. I've saved these girls from that woman's control with the only method I knew. Hypnosis was the only way to free them, and you. And don't forget, one of those girls is my sister!" "Well maybe you can understand, then, that losing your mind, losing your own sense of being, is stressful and damaging to your personality. These girls are rotting because of you. As soon as you enter the room, their worlds change. You are destroying them. Your sister as well. How do you feel knowing you're the one thing holding your sister back now?" "You're wrong. I give them free will. I give them their own lives. If I don't exist to them in the moment, then they are normal." "Can you really bring yourself to alienate your friends when the time comes?" Her eyes didn't have the rage from before, but a sharp question still lingered in them. We were looking each other square on, and I could see she wasn't affected by anything outside. These were her true thoughts. "Maybe not, maybe so." "You will have to end this eventually. We're not here to be your fantasy. Even giving them complete control, like you did to me." "And what about you?" She stepped back. "You seemed more than delighted to make Stacy and Lilly obey you." "I am thankful that you saved me, that is true. Being trapped by that woman was the worst experience in the world for me. That is why I am okay to this agreement, especially the autonomy. However, I can't just let you sit back and use us to your heart's content. There's no love, they are just playthings to you. time being, I can at least command Lilly and Stacy to keep them out of immediate harm's way. You have all of these mindless girls here for you, and yet you seem to miss the one girl that truly loves you." "What?" I was not expecting this at all. "How would you know this?" "Because I can see it in her eyes. There is one girl whose eyes are different from the rest. She has true passion deep within them whenever she is near you. The fact that you haven't seen this yet makes me wonder if you are really a good master at all." "Who is it?" "You'll have to figure that out on your own." A mocking grin spread across her face. Like a doctor coming to check on a patient, my mom knocked once on the door and swiftly opened it, letting herself in. She blushed for a moment and giggled a bit. "Andy, why do you always go for the stern girls?" Mom's question was like a bullet from nowhere. "I could hear her yelling from all the way downstairs. Is everything okay with you two?" "She's not my girlfriend, Mom." "Sara, is it?" Mom sat down on the bed, and motioned for her to come closer. "Don't look so afraid. I don't bite much." Sara looked uneasy, her eyes a bit wider than usual. She stepped closer, complying without hesitating. It was almost as if she was hypnotized again. "You see," said Mom, "Andy is my precious little son. He is my little boy that I took to preschool everyday, and my little boy that I drove to his college to get him all moved in. Lately, I've been away from home so often, and his father has been away for most of the summer. This is his freedom after all of those years of strict parenting we gave him. We have taught him to be chivalrous, and kind overall. He's a selfless boy, though I think this attribute may lead him to swoon some of the wrong girls sometimes. "Keep this in mind, hun. I am his mother. If you do not respect my boy, I will break you. I will break you down into a pile of nothing and misery that can only scurry away like paws to the mousehole underfoot. And the rats beneath the floorboards do not take kindly to refugees." Sara nodded weakly, her face completely drained of blood. Mom nodded back and smiled to both of us. "Now let me go and finish that book I was reading." She flew out of the room, leaving my face beet red and Sara's bone white. After a few minutes of silence, Sara spoke up, "I'm sorry for yelling. You may be right. It was mean of me to harass my rescuer." "No," I replied. "You're right as well. I've been missing something from all of this. If I can't see what it is that is missing, then I may as well just hang this charade up." "But what of the mistress? Who will stop her from ruining these girls' lives? Your methods at least are better than the hell she puts her subjects through." "She needs to be stopped before I leave for school. If I'm gone, then it will be a while before the police will catch on or even be able to investigate. Who knows how many other girls will fall victim? If I'm gone, what will become of Stacy, Lilly, and Katie? It's time I stopped using them and started protecting them more."

"So you'll hit the gym tomorrow then?" She laughed and poked at my bicep, which was somewhat pathetic in size and strength. "That, and I'm going to need to do some investigation of my own. I need to know who this blonde woman is, what she is trying to accomplish, and where these girls are coming from. It appears she has caught on to my operations, and so she has chosen girls that I can't hypnotize with my current equipment. Knowing that, she must have a large supply of girls from which to choose." "I told you before. I have a plan." She pulled a piece of paper from her back pocket. "I vaguely remember meeting the blond woman a few times when I was her slave. It's all very cloudy, but most of my time was under that June woman." She began sketching out a black puck on the paper. As she drew, I could see what she aimed to show me. It was the electrode device that they used on the girls. "Can I see the remote please?" I handed her the remote, and she turned it over in her hands, inspecting the buttons, back cover, and casing down to the last scratch. "What about those poles you use to connect to the earrings? And one of the mistress's electrodes?" I reached into my supply drawer and fished around for a pole. When I pulled one out, I handed it over and she scrutinized it, leaving the electrode I left for her on the desk. "These look like ordinary metal poles. How do these even work?" "The concept is pretty simple, actually. The remote doesn't actually give specific commands to the brain. It just acts like a binaural beat does to the sense of hearing. If I send a wave through the brain from either side in a certain frequency, it will relax the mind enough, sending the subject into a subconscious state that is highly open to suggestion. If I give them a command to go under when I press Pause and Three together, they will perceive the specific frequency associated with that command, and the brain can decipher what it is being told to do." "Huh," she said. "So the remote can hypnotize us, but the control all comes from you?" "In a nutshell, yes." "So, as long as we can send those waves into the girls' brains, we can counteract the effects of the electrodes. That will require us to hypnotize them again, however, if we do not want them stuck in some catatonic state." "Do you have something in mind?" "Yes." She smiled and took the electrode in her hands. It was in two pieces, after I had unscrewed the top cover to inspect the inner components. "As I suspected. We can't use earrings, but we can use something else. A headband of some sort. If we unscrew the back cover, attach a pair of poles to the base of each electrode prong, and then send a wire up to a metal headband, we can pulse waves from all around their head into their brain. Won't that work?" "Hmm, it might. I can't guarantee it will, because I'm not familiar with how the brain would respond to that sort of exposure. However it is our only option at the moment. I'll get a headband from Lilly's room. We can test it on her when she gets back, which should be soon." With that, we began constructing a prototype device. I felt a little shame for this design, seeing as it was ingenious, yet I had not thought of it myself. I think the engineer inside of me had died a little bit when she outsmarted me.

--Lilly came home just as we were finishing the device. Mom had gone to bed already, asking me to wait up for my sister to get back. It was late, but we needed to test it as soon as possible. While building the prototype, we had several design problems, such as attaching the wires and the fact that the poles did not fit the disc. A metal wire was stuck in place around the lining so as to conduct the signals well. Now that we had solved those, it was time to give it a test. "Hi Lilly, we need you to-" "Shimmer!" Sara cut me off to give her command, and immediately Lilly became transfixed by the girl's hoops. "Sleepier, sleepier, that's right. Very good. Sleep!" Lilly's head slumped forward and I ran behind her to catch her from falling, and placed her on the couch. "I thought you only commanded her to protect her," I said puzzled by her actions. Sara laughed lightly. "I never said it wasn't fun. I like being a hypnotist, too." I fit the headband over her hair, and Sara corrected my mistake by running her hair back and over it so as to get it to rest properly. I set the remote to wake her up again, and then shifted to the new poles on the headband only. Pause and Three. Her shiny eyes quickly glazed over once more as she fell down deep into a hypnotized state. "Good," said Sara. "It works." "Yeah. That was a great idea. You thought that up on the fly before?" "Sorta. I really just had the idea of using the poles on them without earrings, but I wasn't sure what to use." She looked down at the sleeping Lilly. "We can get more headbands tomorrow to make a few of these." "Thank you." I bowed my head to her in acknowledgment. "Just don't put those girls under your control next time. Just erase their memories and let them go. I think you have enough girls repaying you, it's time to be a philanthropist." I only looked at her, deep into her eyes again. I thought of the blond woman, the conniving mistress who needed these girls for some wicked task. She'll rue the day she thought she could outsmart me, I thought. I leaned in and kissed her, embracing her. She did the same to me.

So...I'm sorry to all who were waiting for this. Unfortunately I've had a very tough job this summer that ate up most of my time, so sitting down to write was actually some great relaxation. Sit tight, because I'm planning to start working on Chapter 12 tomorrow, so that it will go much more smoothly. This chapter is mostly a conversation, with very little hypnosis. I apologize for that lack, but it's a very story driven chapter that is meant to get things back on track and drive the plot further, as well as mix things up a bit in Andy's philosophies.

I have a feeling about Andy's mom...not gonna reveal anything to the other Nice story btw, really people who read this but i think i know who she really is enjoyed the series

Well, if you're insinuating she's the blonde woman, then I think Sara would have recognized her. lol Also, Andy's mom is simply a character that exists for two purposes: 1) So it doesn't seem like Andy and Lilly are always home alone, or without reason. 2) She acts as a mental rock to the ever-changing Andy (and to the neverchanging Lilly). I don't recall ever describing her, but I'm pretty sure she has dark hair, like her children.
