This research is primarily based on secondary data gathered from a literature review.

Documentary data is used, which are all written materials and include books and academic journal articles. The academic journals were collected through a long and extensive search of both electronic databases and library resources of Cardiff University. It was also important that the academic journals to be chosen very carefully among a variety of articles written on relevant topic areas. Books were also used, but to a lesser extent. Secondary data helped very much in understanding relevant theories and problems and to identify the characteristics of interaction on the basis of relationship marketing between business customers and banks. The secondary research took place prior to the primary research. This assisted in maintaining a complete and comprehensive view as well as helped for the preparation of the primary research.

The analysis of secondary data helped very much in order to examine the research topic in an empirical way. As methods collecting primary data, a face- to-face interview and a questionnaire were used.
