ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAA)
NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP
 A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subjectof Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1

January, 1962 withthe intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who hasmigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, theUnited Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi,Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, providedthat a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person inwhose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Acandidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to theexamination/interview conducted by the Bank/IBPS but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issuedto him by the Government of India.B)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Minimum 60% marks for Science graduates (55 % for SC/ST/PWD) & 55% forgraduates in other streams (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate from a recognisedUniversity or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Government of India with the same percentages as stipulated above.
Note:
1.
Candidates with additional qualifications as MBA, CA, CFA , MCA etc. shallbe preferred.
2. The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification as on01.10.2009
3. COMPUTER LITERACY - The
basic knowledge in operating computer systems inWindows mode, knowledge of MS-Word/Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Exceland Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidatemust either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within aperiod of 6 months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected forappointment. For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate insupport of this computer related qualification.
 
C) AGE Minimum age 21 years & Maximum age 30 years as on 01.10.2009i.e. applicants should have been born between 01.10.1988 & 30.09.1979 (bothdays inclusive)
 
 
RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT
i)
 
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates by 5 years.ii)
 
In the case of ex-servicemen and commissioned officers includingECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years military service and havebeen released on completion of assignment (including those whoseassignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the lastdate for receipt of application other than by way of dismissal or dischargeon account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physicaldisability attributable to military service or on availment, by 5 years forselection through written test and interview subject to ceiling as perGovernment guidelines.iii)
 
Other Backward Classes candidates by 3 yearsiv)
 
All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K state during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 by 5 years.v)
 
Physically Challenged category candidates a) by 15 years for SC/ST, b) by13 years for OBC & c) by 10 years for General.

An Ex-serviceman who has once joined a government job on the civil sideafter availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-serviceman for his re-employment, his Ex-serviceman status for the purpose of re-employmentin government ceases.b)
 
The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Government of Indiaguidelines.All persons eligible for age relaxation under (iv) above must produce the domicilecertificate at the time of interview, from the District Magistrate in the KashmirDivision within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or any otherauthority designated in this regard by the Government of J&K, to the effect thatthe candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the stateof J&K during 1

SELECTION PROCEDURE
The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test andinterview. The details of the written test shall be communicated to the candidatesin advance.
