*Please sign up on October 7 for one or both of theseservice projects so we can prepare ahead of time.We are doing similar projects both nights due to fallbreaks, so you don’t need to attend both but are wel-come to do so.
Camping Fun!(minus bugs, dirt, and cold)
**GEMS All Night Long! - Friday, October 16 **
Please plan to come to our very special“Camp In,” as we explore this year’s theme:“Prayer -- No Worries!” You’ll discover someun, new approaches to praying, that will helpyou learn to speak and listen to God. We’llplay games, and make a great crat. Bring pil-lows, sleeping bags, and fashlights to makethe church our campground! I your mom (orgrandma or aunt or other emale adult) cancome, she will love this too!
TOTE BAGS!
At the rst club meeting the girls made a tote bag to
carry their curriculum in. Please have them bring itback each club night.
CLUB FUND-RAISER
Established Zambian clubs will be given materialsto produce pot holders and ornaments. In conjunctionwith their sewing badge, girls will create these items,and clubs will then sell the pot holders and ornamentsalong with gourmet cookie dough, Tortilla con QuesoSoup, Broccoli Cheese Soup, and pretzel mix.The sale of the pot holders and ornaments will helpZambian clubs become self-sustaining. The moneyraised will be used to purchase more Bibles and studymaterials, t-shirts, and club supplies – allowing themto continue meeting and learning about Christ.In addition to serving the girls and counselors in Zam-bia, clubs in North America will be keep a portion of the sales to support their own growth as well.
This campaign starts
September 30
(receivepackets) and
October 14
(orders and funds aredue). Distribution of product will be in November.
