To Rikky51, there is such a thing as an anarchist critique of leftism. See the work of John Zerzan, for example. Zerzan is an anarchist critic of technology and industrial mass society, and this critique encompasses both capitalist and leftist varieties of industrialism. He used to be, in his own words, "rigidly Marxist-Leninist," but abandoned leftism after he traced the roots of domination to the very foundations of civilization. He now explicitly criticises the left for complicity in the project of technological progress and industrialisation.

It's interesting that anarchy never appears directed at one of the greatest generators of authoritarian or totalitarian governance: Marxism--or, if you prefer--socialism. In case it never occurred to you folks, Nazis were socialists, too.
