SEPTEMBER 2009SEPTEMBER 2009SEPTEMBER 2009
Edition No. 1, 4 pages
There's been a lot of press about the federal government's recent "Cashfor Clunkers" program. That's great--we love the idea of doing things to helpreduce carbon emissions. But what you don't hear about is that not every car qualifies! To get them to give cash for your clunker, you had to buy a new car and prove that it was more gas-efficient than the one you had. Then there's alimit on how much you could get back: $4,500.At Pre-Owned Motor Cars, we've got our own "Cash for Clunkers" program and we think we've got one or two up on the government. First of all,we'll take any car you've got. Then, we'll go ahead and save you up to $5,000!We’ve set aside $50,000 (of our money, not YOUR tax money) to fund the program. What will this do? Give you the chance to afford a car you need! How does it work? Easy! You trade in the car you've got and we'll giveyou a good price for something else. Assuming your trade-in is in good shape,we'll clean it up, put it on our lot, then sell it to someone else who can get somemore mileage out of it.But isn't this more or less what we’ve always done? Yes! Except for our new offer of
up to $5,000 in savings
, Pre-Owned Motor Cars has beenhelping Big Island residents get the most out of cars already in the state for more than 15 years. But I bet you never really thought of it as recycling, didyou?Buying a new car just doesn't always make sense. It's expensive and ituses up a lot of natural resources in manufacturing and shipping. What's the point when there are plenty of good, reliable, and efficient pre-owned vehiclesalready here in Hawaii? The government’s “Cash for Clunkers” program has just ended, but ours is better and just beginning!Come on into Pre-Owned Motors and we will show how to get the bestvalue for your money. At the same time, you'll be doing your part to "recycle!"
