2014 elections in India will peace be affected?

Terrorism is the biggest challenge to mankind such that it calls for Investigative Astrology
to contribute its mite towards understanding terror attacks astrologically. In the wake of
upcoming elections in 2014, with the Indian Prime Minister already having apprehended
probable terror attacks at election time and a series of bomb blasts already witnessed at Patna
in a political rally on 27
rd
October, 2013, the enormity of this problem is an area of concern to
Astrologers. This article is a nutshell of a detailed analysis of astrological factors found at
the time of terror attacks in India since the 1990s till date.
The Indian Independence chart gives the major clues on what is wrong with the Indian
horoscope in terms of terror attacks.

1. All the planets are hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu causing Kala sarpa yoga, in
the Indian Natal chart. For an individual, it reflects unusual and unexpected life-
situations, according to his Karma of the previous birth. For the nation too, it reflects
unusual events as a result of previous karma in this land. India of today is the legacy
of the past invasions and colonial occupations. The Viloma type of Kala sarpa with
Ketu ahead of Rahu shows that India loses heavily in its new birth in the post
Independence period. It is Anantha Kalasarpa Yoga with Rahu in the lagna and
Ketu in the 7
th
having all the planets in between them. This shows that there will be
struggles and turmoil. For an individual, the affliction is with reference to his spouse
and married life as the yoga is in 1-7 axis. In the mundane analysis, the relationship is
between the Rulers and the Ruled, between the Government and the people or
between India and the other nations. Such relationship is always under struggle is
what is made out from this yoga for India.

2. Venus, the lord of the first and the 6
th
is in Aslesha, in the 3
rd
house associated with
Saturn, Sun, Moon and mercury. It joins Saturn in its own Navamsa where it is
hemmed between Mars and Rahu. In Shodasamsa, it receives the 7
th
aspect of Rahu
and Ketu and 3
rd
aspect of Saturn. It is in the house of Mars in Shashtyamsa receiving
the aspect from Mandhi.

3. The 3 house is occupied by 5 planets affecting the significances of the 3 rd bhava. The
3
rd
bhava signifies younger siblings. Pakistan is the younger brother of India that was
carved out of Greater India at the time of Independence. The affliction to the 3
rd
bhava
indicates afflicted relationship with Pakistan! It will be more pronounced in the
Maha dasa of the 3
rd
Lord Moon, which is to start from September 2015.

4. The afflicted 3
rd
bhava is also indicative of a sibling rivalry a kind of never ending
differences between the various sections of people of this country. The various
communities and groups within India which are diverse in terms of religion, caste,
language and social hierarchy are all siblings born to Mother India. The affliction to
the 3
rd
bhava portends a not-so good relationship among these various sections.

5. The lord of the natural 3
rd
, Mercury who owns the 2
nd
and the 5
th
is caught among the
planets in the 3
rd
bhava, afflicted by Saturn. This shows that there is stress to domestic
well being and financial well being of the country besides a low to the purva punya
(Mars and Saturn aspecting the 5th) which is characterized by the rich past that this
country has had. The affliction to Mercury also shows that the transport or vehicular
systems of India will be frequent targets in rivalries among siblings (various sections
of the society).

6. The 3
rd
lord Moon is afflicted by Ketu in the Navamsa. The absence of any planets
next to Moon in Navamsa is a cause of concern and so also is the Krishna paksha
moon not receiving any aspect from Jupiter in the Navamsa. Thus the affliction to the
3
rd
and its lord are not mitigated.

7. Another cause of concern from the angle of terror attacks is the 3
rd
aspect of Saturn to
the 5
th
house. The Yogakaraka Saturn (for Taurus) also happens to be a Bhadak for
Taurus and afflicts 3
rd
house, lord of the natural 3
rd
(mercury), the 5
th
house and the
5
th
lord Mercury. (According to Bhavartha Ratnakara (1-2), Saturn does not
become Yogakaraka). This shows that the past benefits that this ancient land of
Bharath enjoyed for several millennia will be put into naught in the Independent
India. One of the causatives for this is the Dharma-Karmadhipathi Lord Saturn
becoming inimical and a bhadak! How true are the prophesies of our Maharishis that
Dharma will decline in Kali yuga! The dharma that is seen today is that of a perverse
variety. It is something that attempts to nail down the lofty ideals of Bharath. All this
is done by the Dharma devatha Saturn Himself positioned at a vantage point of
destruction. It is no exaggeration to say that bickering of a dangerous kind fuelled by
religious fanaticism, usurping of Hindu Dharma, criminal and anti social elements
working for sectarian goals are all eating up the vials of the country. They find their
expression and existence in carrying out terrorist attacks.

8. Yet another cause of concern for terror attacks is the position of Jupiter. Jupiter is the
lord of the 8
th
house in the Natal chart of India. The 22
nd
Drekkana of the Natal
chart also is lorded by Jupiter. In addition, Jupiter joins Ketu in the 7
th
in the Bhava
chart. In Navamsa, Jupiter in inimical sign of Taurus in opposition to Gulika and 4
th

from Mandhi! In Shashtyamsa, Jupiter is debilitated in the 6
th
, receiving the aspect of
Saturn.

The most disturbing information about Jupiter is that it is in the Mrityu Bhaga of Libra in
the rasi chart! Certain fateful degrees have been noted in the classical texts as causing death
and destruction. In Libra that falls at 26 degrees. Jupiter was at 25-52 Libra when India was
born! The 8
th
lord in the 6
th
causes Vipareeta Raja yoga, but in the Mrityu bhaga of the 6
th

house, it is constant panicking at the door of Death inflicting diseases. Jupiter, the siginifactor
of Dharma the highest kind of which was the very breath of this country is under attack by
some enemy from within or outside the Independent India. The very definition of Dharma is
twisted in todays India and the very adherence to Hindu Dharma is seen unconstitutional in
the atmosphere of mis-understood concept of Secularism.

In the bhava chart, Jupiter joins Ketu giving rise to Chandala yoga. This happens in the 7
th

bhava, indicating the eclipse of Dharma of this land. Dharma is getting tarnished and tainted
by associates coming from other countries. This is a clear astrological proof of how
conversions and jihadi assaults are causing the steady decline of Hindu Dharma.

Thus we find that the very birth of India is ingrained with differences among groups within
India on the one hand as seen from the 3
rd
bhava - and the imported variety of affliction to
Bharatheeya dharma on the other as seen by the affliction to Jupiter.
In short, Venus, Moon, Mercury, and Jupiter are those that are afflicted while those that cause
affliction are Saturn, Ketu, Rahu and Mars (the 12L in 2
nd
afflicting 5
th
, 8
th
and 9
th
houses in
the natal chart.) The very basis of peaceful co-existence is thus not contained in Indias fate
which is any way what the Seers of yore had foreseen for this country for Kaliyuga!

With this background, when the 39 terror attacks in India were analysed, the following
factors emerged.
Moon must be afflicted (for human sufferings to happen.) In the absence of this one
clause even if other clauses were to be present, the terror attack will fail or casualties
will be nil or very low.
Jupiter must be afflicted. In all high-casualty terror attacks Jupiter is found afflicted.
Antiscion of the Sun must be afflicted. (Please refer to my article Sri Ramas
coronation in January 2011 issue of this magazine). Antiscion is the point in opposite
sign. The opposite signs are shown as horizontal pairs in the illustration below.

How to interpret: If Sun is in x degrees of Capricorn, its antiscion is (30 x) degrees
in Sagittarius. A malefic transiting this degree or afflicting this degree is seen to cause
terrible effect on the Sun. In terror charts, this point or the star of this point is seen
afflicted. Like this, the antiscion for any sign where Sun is present at a given moment
can be calculated and checked for an adverse influence on that point or star.
Terror time lagna lord and 8
th
lord must be afflicted.
The lagna lord and 8
th
lord and or the 8
th
house must fall in ayudha, sarpa or fiery
drekkanas.
The 22
nd
drekkana and 64
th
navamsa lords must be afflicted.
Brighu bindu (the mid- point between Moon and Rahu) must be afflicted or the
planetary lord of the Brighu bindu degree must be afflicted.
Malefics in Mrithyu bhaga and /or malefics transiting Rohini. (additional feature and
not always possible)
The malefics such as Saturn, Mars and the nodes causing the above afflictions besides
being connected among themselves. In worst terror attacks, they will be in 6-8 axis or
2-12 axis with each other and aspecting Sun, Moon and Jupiter.
In addition, the Tajaka annual chart must be analysed for Punya, Kali, Mruthyu and
Shatru sahama and the Patyayini dasa period of the lords of these sahamas must
corroborate with Vimshotthari dasa antar dasa of the Indian natal chart.

The above table shows that Venus Maha dasa had been the worst hit with terrorism.
Dasa antar dasa with high number of terror attacks irrespective of the casualties.

Ven- Ketu = 11
This figure shows that Saturn, Mercury and Ketu antar dasas had been more dreadful. All
these three, including Dasa lord Venus are in Sarpa drekkana in the Indian natal chart. Venus,
Mars and Mercury were in the asterism of Aslesha. Sun also was in Aslesha in the natal chart.
But it is in 4
th
and own bhava in the bhava chart. That seems to have reduced its malevolence.
The Sun Mahadasa (currently running) has so far seen many terror attacks, but fortunately the
intensity had been low and casualties had been low. The following data shows that.
Sun Dasa with antar dasa.
Sun Moon =1(number of terror attacks)
Sun Rahu = 2
Sun Jup = 1
Sun Sat = 6
Sun Mer = 3
Here again we can see a predominant presence of Mercury and Saturn in the form of antar
dasa. Generally when Mercury is the antar or pratyantar dasa at the time of terror attack, use
of vehicles for bomb blasts had caused greater havoc. Non-use of them had reduced the
havoc.
As examples for high and low intensity terror attacks, let me show the Mumbai terror attack
(November 26, 2008), which can be called as the Mother of Terror attacks for the presence of
all terror factors and Bodh gaya serial blasts (July 7, 2013) for minimum intensity.

Example 1:
26-11-2008, 9-20 pm, Mumbai

Analysis:
1.Affliction to Moon:
Moon is in the 5
th
house in the asterism of Jupiter. It is afflicted by Saturn and Mandhi. In D-
9, it is besieged in a malicious combination. Moon is in Navamas lagna which happens to be
the Mrithyu sahama in the Tajaka annual. It is afflicted by Rahu and opposed by Saturn and
Ketu. Mars aspects Moon in Navamsa lagna by its 8
th
aspect. The affliction to moon is severe
that many people died under terrible circumstances. Ketu occupying the house of moon in the
asterism of Mercury resulted in unnatural death of the worst kind.
2. Affliction to Jupiter:
Jupiter, the lord of 7
th
and 10
th
houses is in 7
th
hemmed in between malefics. It joins Venus in
whose asterism it is transiting. Jupiter is severely afflicted in Navamsa just like moon.
Though it has attained Vargotthama and is in moola-trikona, it is seen occupying the 8
th

house of the natal chart which proved inauspicious. Its position in the annual charts also was
not good. It was retrograde at the time of annual progression. Retrogression in moola-trikona
makes it weak and vulnerable. In addition it becomes the lord of Kali sahama in Tajaka
annual, in square with Mars, Gulika and Mandhi. The biggest assault against all Dharma was
witnessed in this terror attack.
3. Lagna Lord:
Mercury is the lagna lord occupying the 6
th
in conjunction with Mars. It falls within the orb
of the 3
rd
aspect of Saturn.
4. The 8
th
Lord & the 22
nd
Drekkana lord:
Saturn, the 8
th
lord is in 3
rd
from lagna aspecting the house of Dharma. Saturn is in the
asterism of Venus which is in papakarthari. Saturn afflicts Moon and Jupiter in D-9 where it

joins other terror planets in malefic axis. Mercury is the 22
nd
Drekkana lord closing in on
Mrityu Bhaga. Mars is already encroaching Mrithyu bhaga.
5.Bhrigu Bindu:
The BB falls in Arudra in Gemini. It is aspected by Mars.
6. Antiscion of Sun:
The antiscion of the sun falls in Satabhishak in Aquarius which is aspected by Saturn and
Mars.
7. Malefic planets:
Mars in the asterism of Saturn is in 6th in Scorpio. The sun also joins it. The Prasna Marga
rule of the 3 planets in Martian and Sun signs, that is Mars, Sun and Saturn in Scorpio and
Leo foretells fall of fire on innocent people. Mars, Saturn and Rahu are in mutual quadrants.
They are in malefic axis in Navamsa.
The 4
th
house from Mars is aspected by Saturn showing foul attacks in public places.
The 3
rd
from Mercury has Rahu. Mars aspects the natural 3
rd
, Gemini. All these strengthen
the foul attacks in Railway station and vehicles. The Chief of Terror investigation wing was
ambushed in his vehicle and killed. Saturn in inauspicious axial relationship with other terror
planets in both Rasi and Navamsa.
Remarks:
The Vimshotthari dasa running at the time of attack was Ven- Ketu- Moon- Mer- Mer
Moon was aspected by Saturn and Rohini was aspected by Mars.The attack started in moon
hora. It must be noted that the day was inauspicious in every way, say, by Thithi, yoga
(atiganda) , karana (Chathushpada) etc. The skies were indeed awful with malicious
alignments. All the planets were in the grip of the nodes.
In the Tajaka annual, the impact of mercury continues. Mercury in Itthashala with Saturn
came into a quadrant to Saturn at the time of attack. Mercury was the lord of Mrityu sahama
while Jupiter was the lord of Kali sahama and Saturn was lord of Shatru sahama. The attack
happened in Mer- Jup Patyayini dasa.

Example 2:
07-07-2013, 5.45 am, Bodh Gaya, Patna.
Krishna Chaturdashi, Sunday, Arudra, Hora lord Sun.
Dead Nil. Injured - 5

1.Affliction to Moon:
Moon in Arudra is within 2 degrees of Jupiter in front of it. Though Lagna (Gemini) in
occupied by Mars, Sun and Mercury (R), Jupiters presence in lagna and the same star as of
Moon saved mankind.
2. Affliction to Jupiter:
Jupiter is fairly strong though it is in a sign of enemy as it is able to cast its aspect on Rahu
(lord of the asterism in which it is posited) and Saturn, the 8
th
lord of the terror time. Jupiter is
comfortably placed in its own house in the 7
th
in Navamsa.
3. Lagna lord:
Mercury is present in Lagna itself but in retrogression. Suppose the terrorists had placed their
ammunition in vehicles, the damage would have been there. For example on the same day,
Maoists opened fire on a van carrying police personnel and killed 5 of them in Dumka,
Jharkhand. Mercurys complicity always worked when vehicles were involved.
4. The 8
th
Lord and 22
nd
Drekkan Lord:
The 8
th
lord was Saturn (in the asterism of Swati) and the 22
nd
Drekkana Lord was Mercury
in the asterism of Punarvasu. Jupiters connection to both these (Jupiter in the asterism of
Rahu and aspecting Rahu) helped to minimise the damage.
5. Bhrigu Bindu:
This fell at Satabhishak, Rahus star in the 8
th
house. This is a contributory factor for the
terror attack to happen.
6. Antiscion of Sun:
This is at 8-59 degrees in Cancer. It is in Saturns star, receiving Saturns 10
th
aspect. This
facilitated the occurrence of the conspiracy, but with Saturn under the aspect of Jupiter and
Venus, a benefic, transiting Cancer reduced the impact.

7. Malefic planets:
The terror angles of 6-8 or 2-12 between malefic are primarily missing. However the Ketus
aspect is on lagna and mutual aspect between nodes and Saturn is there. All these have been
greatly mitigated by Jupiters presence in Gemini and its aspect on Saturn and Rahu.
Remarks: This happened on Sun- Mercury Mercury- Moon in Indian Vimshotthari dasa
and in Sun Patyayini dasa in Tajaka annual. Sun was the 9
th
lord in 8
th
house joined with
Mercury in Tajaka chart. Thus we see a connection between natal and Tajaka dasas.
However sahama lords were not afflicted and Muntha was in Libra that received Jovian
aspect at the time of terror attack. This averted casualties.
Current period.
Currently Sun Dasa Mercury antar dasa continues till 02-05-2014 when the elections will
be on. So far 3 terror attacks had taken place in this antar dasa which started on 27
th
June
2013. After 2
nd
May 2014, Ketu antar dasa starts. In other words, during the last phase of
elections, Ketu antar dasa will be running in Sun Mahadasa. Around the same time, from 10-
05-2014 onwards, Venus pratyantar dasa will be running in Sun- Ketu Vimshotthari dasa. On
10
th
May, 2014 Sun and Saturn will be in direct opposition. At that time retrograde Saturn
will be moving through Mruthu Bhaga in Libra. It is the same location of Jupiter in Indian
Independence chart. This is a cause of concern.
Before that there will be a solar eclipse on 29
th
April 2014 which will not be visible in India.

The sun- Saturn opposition with Saturn in Mruthyu bhaga comes within the paksha after this
eclipse. At the same time Ketu transiting Aswini will be aspecting Chitra which reminds us of
Vyasas concern in Mahabharata on Ketus affliction to Chitra indicating death of the ruler.
Around the day of solar eclipse, retrograde Mars a malefic in enemys house will be
transiting the antiscion of the Sun. Around 10
th
May, Mars will be casting its aspect on
Bhrigu Bindu. Bhrigu Bindu is transited by Venus in Pisces and receives Mars direct aspect.
Mars is joined with Moon on 10
th
May and will continue to be casting its 8
th
aspect on Sun.

The 4 malefics will be in 2-12 and 6-8 axis at that time. All these are indicative of some
terrible event of bomb blasts.

However Jupiter is not afflicted by any planets is a point of relief. It is in its own asterism.
Jupiter is fairly fortified except that it is in enemys house. It does cast its 5
th
aspect is on
Saturn and Rahu but not on Mars. Mars goes unchecked during this time. By all this it is
inferred that Martian effect in the form of a bomb blast can be expected on that day or in that
Paksha. Since Jupiter is safe, the extent of damage may not be grave, but restricted to some
leaders as indicated by affliction to Sun and its antiscion and retro Saturn in Mruthyu bhaga,
By and large, Sun Maha dasa of India has to go on fairly peaceful. Let us pray that with
Rudras blessings, any untoward incident will be averted at the most crucial moment of the
upcoming elections. Let interested persons do Mruthyunjana homa for the well being of their
leaders.
