.45 am Duration: 60 minutes Focus: Reading Theme : World of Knowledge Topic : The Inventor of USB flash drive Learning Standard : 2.2.2 Able to read and understand phrases and sentences from (a) linear text 2.3.1 Able to read for information and enjoyment with guidance: (b) non-fiction Learning Outcomes : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: (i) (ii) (iii) Read and understand the text. Sequence 5 sentences in the correct order based on the text Locate keywords /phrases in the text to complete sentences.

Teaching Aids: Textbook, Sentence strips, CCE: Thinking Skill, Contextual Learning Activities: PRE-READING 1) Pupils to name parts of computer that are used to store information. Eg hard disc, CDs, DVDs and diskette. Introduce the term USB flash drive. WHILE READING 1) Pupils read the text in a pair of two. 2) Pupils underline difficult words. 3) Pupils discuss the words with teacher. POST READING 1) 2) 3) 4) Pupils sequence the text using the sentence strips in pair of two. Pupils paste the sentence strips in the correct order. Pupils present their work (read the text). Discuss moral of the text ( patient and never give up)
