Description

Acts 1:1The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Acts 2:36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

The rest of the letters of Paul (14 total by his hand, Peter, and others explain the deeds and teachings through faith done, by the Apostles.) show forth the reasons behind the book of Acts. The most ancient name of this book is simply Acts. Men have called it the Acts of the Apostles. The Holy Spirit (Or the spirit of God, they are one and the same. There is no division or seperation in the one true God who changes not from one to three. This is a man made myth. Triads are always from Pagans. This lie of one yet three was the same recorded by Babylon and passed on to all cultures. Only the Jews or Hebrews believed in one God. Though a Egyptian king named Ra as the one true God, few persons in history really believed in one only. God cannot be one in the Old and three in the New Testament. That would be confusion. Deuteronomy 6:4 and Exodus 29:1-5 rebuke that lie. The Jews today still only believe in one, yet still reject Christ as Saviour.) is referred to about seventy times in the book. The action of the Holy One through men, would be a another name for this book. Christ promised that God would send his Holy Spirit (1:8)and this promise was fulfilled a few days later (2:4). Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit when he preached that all needed to repent and be baptized by faith into Jesus Christ (2:38) for the forgiveness of sins. Are you going to argue with God?
