What is ML about?
Mathematical Literacy provideslearners with an awareness andunderstanding of the role thatmathematics plays in the modernworld. Mathematical Literacy is asubject driven bylife-relatedapplications of mathematics. Itenables learners todevelop theability and confidence to thinknumerically and spatiallyin order to interpret andcritically analyseeveryday situations and to solveproblems. (DoE, 2003, p9)
