In 1950, America was rated #1 in the world in education from elementary school through high school. Today we are rated lower than many 3rd world nations. Some say we are rated #38, but many believe this rating is skewed and is actually much lower. In any case, an 8th grader in 1950 was smarter than 95 percent of high school graduates today.
