KAMI PUNYA CARABERBEDA ATASPENGUKUHAN BATIK OLEH UNESCO

ami punya cara berbedamerayakan keputusan dan penetapan UNESCO(United Nations of Education, Science, and CultureOrganization) atas batik salah satu worldintangible heritage dari Indonesia.

Euforia perayaan di tanah air ditunjukkan dengan memakai batik sebagai simbolisasi ditetapkan salah satu peninggalan budaya Indonesia tersebutdan sebagai wujud menjaga menghargaisalah satu khazanah budaya kita miliki.Kami tampil dengan konsep berbeda. Mahasiswa Indonesia dalamPersatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) diUniversiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) pada(02/10) melakukan sebuah aksi.Acara diawali dengan berkumpuldi depan Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyahmengenakan corak batik beragam pukul15.30 sore waktu MalaysiaAksi kampanye sekitar 100mahasiswa Indonesia ini dimulai denganmemanjatkan doa bersama untuk parakorban gempa bumi, dilanjutkan berjalankaki mengelilingi kampus, diselingi jugafoto bersama dan membagikan selebaran.Isi selebaran tersebut adalah berita penetapan batik Indonesia oleh UNESCOserta berbagai pengetahuan batik kepadawarga kampus baik lokal (Malaysia) danterutama mahasiswa Internasional.Acara lalu berakhir di DewanMuadzam Shah, UUM pada pukul 6 sorewaktu Malaysia.Aksi damai ini merupakan pedulikami sebagai bagian dari masyarakatIndonesia di Malaysia. Akhir-akhir inikonflik budaya antara Indonesia danMalaysia sering timbul memanas.Untuk itulah, mahasiswa Indonesiayang merupakan duta bangsa di Malaysiamerasa terpanggil dan bertanggung jawabmenjadi garda terdepan dalam mengatasiisu-isu berlaku diantara kedua negara.Atas hal tersebut, selain sebagai perayaan dan ucapan syukur pengukuhanUNESCO, aksi ini juga memperkenalkankembali budaya Indonesia di Malaysiadan di mata Internasional.Hal tersebut juga sebagai salah satuupaya penegasan kepada semua pihak terutama Malaysia bahwa batik adalahmilik Indonesia secara sah setelahdiakuinya batik Indonesia oleh UNESCOdi Abu Dhabi, Uni Emirat Arab.

maker uses the concept of resisting the dye using wax so dye colorsspecific part of cloth that is not waxed.Melted wax is applied to cloth before being dipped in dye then cloh ishung up to dry it.The melted wax is called

inJavanese language.Sometimes there is more than onecolor, which means there will be repeated process of waxing, dyeing, and drying.After the last drying, the wax needsto be dissolved by either dipped the clothin solvent or ironed between paper towelsor newspapers, to absorb the wax andreveal the characteristic of
