utrition isimportant forpeople of allages, but it’s especiallyimportant for men andwomen over the age of 50, who can dramati-cally improve theirquality of life by eatinga well-balanced dietfilled with vitaminsand nutrients. Thoughthat may seem likecommon sense, re-search has shown thatmen and women in thisage group, who areoften referred to as“Baby Boomers,” arenot necessarily ashealthy as they mayseem. While the babyboomer generation, which is generally regarded asthose people born between1946 and 1964, boasts longerlife expectancies than anygeneration that came beforethem, some of that can likelybe chalked up to advance-ments in medical care, including a booming pharma-ceutical industry that seem-ingly has an antidote to everyailment. As is always the case, men and women should discussany potential changes to theirdiets with their physicians toensure the changes will be botheffective and healthy.
Balance your diet.
Kids hear of the benefits of abalanced diet seemingly from themoment they enter a classroom forthe first time, but many adults failto heed that basic advice as theyget further and further away from
