PP vs PVC

Environmentally

Friendly

Both the manufacture and disposal of PVC ( Polyvinyl Chloride) is harmful to our environment as it gives off hydrogen chlorine vapours. For this reason, there is a worldwide trend to limit PVC use whenever possible. Polypropylene, which contains no chlorine, is an environmentally acceptable, stable film which is inert and possess all the qualities required for superior, long lasting protection.

PP has great gloss and clarity just like PVC

PP is much more environmentally friendly than PVC & thats important to me & my mates.

A Clear Choice Polypropylene has a high gloss and clarity like PVC, however due to the inert nature of polypropylene, its medium and long term protection is far superior. PVC ages, particularly under hot storage conditions, with appearance and protection diminishing over time. Polypropylene is the clear choice in bookcovering material.

18

PP is more stable & doesnt shrink or yellow like PVC

Research and Development

Years of experience and knowledge has gone into the research and development of polypropylene book covering When it products. These products are easy to comes to use and have a variety of applications for the maximum protection of bookcovering hardcover and paperback books, PP is the magazines and journals.

Stable Protection
All bookcovering material made with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) contains a plasticiser. This is a substance that makes PVC soft so that it can be used for bookcovering. Without it PVC is a hard polymer (eg. the PVC drainpipes used in building homes). Unfortunately, with time, this plasticiser migrates to the surface and leaks out causing stickiness, yellowing, cracking and drying out. Shrinkage and a breakdown of adhesive also occurs.
